CFC105 and Simon Says Transport

Happy Friday!
It is beautiful weather here today and I hope it is wherever you are.

I jumped right on to this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge so that I could ink up my new Fresh Squeezed Stamps Subway Series: Summer stamps.  I used the cutest Taylored Expressions Luggage Tag that was sent to me by my friend Kim at Cupcakes, Cards and Kim.  Now that I am posting this I think I would love to hop on a plane to some dreamy sunny place!

I am also submitting this one to the Simon Says Transport challenge.  Have a wonderful Father's Day weekend!

Happy Birthday Ardyth!

Happy Birthday Ardyth!

I have had the pleasure of getting to know you virtually through our common love of cardmaking and blogging but also by both being on the Design Team at CASology! Even better we share the same big 'city' and I am so looking forward to meeting up with you for lunch at Yorkdale this summer.

Sweet Darnell has organized this birthday treat for you today and has asked that we each CASE one of your fantastic cards for you.  Well how do you CASE an Ardyth card, how do you improve or CASE perfection.  You have such a signature style my friend so I have chosen a card that I love of yours to CASE and I have done this by following your CAS design and your fun Copic technique.  I hope that today is a wonderful day, and I hope that you enjoy all of the cards, love and friendship you are receiving virtually too!

This is the card that I am using for my CASE

Hugs and enjoy your cake!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop - April

Time for this month's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

This month the theme is 'tilted', create a project with something tilted.
Although it may seem a little crooked to you if it actually a lot of fun.

After what has seemed like the eternal winter I personally cannot wait to get back into my flip flops again.  So for my card what I decided to tilt were flip flops. I am also submitting this card to the Simon Says Anything Goes challenge.

Thanks for popping in and enjoy the rest of the hop!

CAS(E) this Sketch #22 & Simon Says Happy Birthday

I have a card for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch!  I haven't played in a few weeks so it feels good to get back into it.  I have a need for masculine cards over the next while so I decided to take this sketch and make it masculine. For some reason when I think of a tag I think more feminine cards kind of fou fou and cutesy.  By choosing a masculine patterned paper and adding a clip to the top the card has a more grungy feel to it.  I am also submitting my project to the Simon Says Happy Birthday challenge.

All supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted.

Cardstock:  Kraft
Patterned Paper: SN@P Basics (Simple Stories)
Stamps: Background Basics Circles, Birthday Basics (PTI) Envelope Sentiments (Simon Says Stamps)
Ink:  Simply Chartreuse, True Black
Dies: Tag Sale #7

CASE Study #135 & Simon Says Happy Birthday

This month JJ Bolton is the super talented and creative Muse at the Case Study Challenge.  I can't help buy swoon over all of her amazing creations and spotlighted in week #1 is a technique that I been is love with since I first saw her use it.  I am also submitting my project to the Simon Says Happy Birthday challenge.

Thanks to her fantastic picture tutorial I gave it a shot.  The technique itself is not complicated. Even still I went through he process really slowly because it isn't the kind of project you would want to do a redo on.   This is what I came up with...

All supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted.

Cardstock:  White
Stamps: Rosie Posie, Pretty Peonies
Ink:  Berry Sorbet, Simply Chartreuse, True Black
Dies: Pretty Peonies

Voting is open for this week's Muse challenge until 12 pm (EST) Sunday.
My entry is No. 34

RS #57 & Simon Says Happy Birthday

I seriously have a problem.  I have so much beautiful patterned paper, so I took the Online Card Class Pattern Play and learned so many wonderful ways to make use of my paper and finally part with it.  The class was so much fun and I started to use up some of my stash.  The problem is that it was so fun I keep buying more and more and today I picked up some new My Minds Eye and I didn't want to cut it for my card!  Yes I have a problem, but I did seize the moment and cut it to make my card for this week's RetroSketches challenge. I know that Joyce and Kim are laughing as they read this--they know I have a problem. I am also submitting this card to this week's Simon Says Happy Birthday Challenge.

All supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted.

Cardstock:  Vintage Cream
Patterned Paper: Tangerine (My Minds Eye)
Stamps: Birthday Basics
Ink:  Dark Chocolate

This week's Muse card is by Laurie Willison of Soapbox Creations.

It took everything in my power not to outright CASE her gorgeous card exactly.  However, what I did do was chose what I liked the most.  The card orientation, the basic design and the inverted die cut.  Here is what I came up with.
