Happy Birthday Anita and colourQ #233

IMG_4043

Happy Tuesday and a very Happy Belated Birthday Anita!

You surely know her as 'Anita in France' and her fabulous papercrafting blog My Papercraft World. Anita thought that she would escape being fussed over when her birthday actually happened last month.  Anita you are too well liked to escape some bloggy love!  I hope that you had a wonderful birthday on the actual day, but today you get to enjoy another special day!

Bev of Happy Dance decided to hold a belated birthday party for Anita. Darnell is hosting the link up for the party so if you would like to join the fun you can until April 1st at the Playhouse!

I made Anita's card based on the new colour palette at the colourQ!
Aren't the colours gorgeous? They make me think of spring.

Head over to the colourQ to see the fabulous creations the rest of the Design Team has made to inspire you.  Hope you play along with us this week!

I am going to be submitting  this to both the Moxie Fab World Birthday Card Challenge and Seize the Birthday Anything Goes Challenge.

Drop into the colourQ today and see what the rest of the design team has come up with to inspire you.  Hope that you join us this week.

colourQ #195

Happy Tuesday and time for this week's new colour palette from the colourQ!
Another fabulous colourQ, I don't know how Arielle does it.

This week I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, even though I knew I wouldn't make the deadline, for my card. I just loved the sketch. I used my Verve Scalloped Trimmed Trio die to create a cool funky circle strip to replace the scallop strip on the sketch.  Here is my card for this week:

Pop over over to the colourQ to see what the rest of the Design Team has created for this week.
You won't be disappointed.

Happy Birthday Ardyth!

Happy Birthday Ardyth!

I have had the pleasure of getting to know you virtually through our common love of cardmaking and blogging but also by both being on the Design Team at CASology! Even better we share the same big 'city' and I am so looking forward to meeting up with you for lunch at Yorkdale this summer.

Sweet Darnell has organized this birthday treat for you today and has asked that we each CASE one of your fantastic cards for you.  Well how do you CASE an Ardyth card, how do you improve or CASE perfection.  You have such a signature style my friend so I have chosen a card that I love of yours to CASE and I have done this by following your CAS design and your fun Copic technique.  I hope that today is a wonderful day, and I hope that you enjoy all of the cards, love and friendship you are receiving virtually too!

This is the card that I am using for my CASE

Hugs and enjoy your cake!

Mother's Day Wrap Up & MFW Gift Tag Challenge

I hope that all Mom's had a wonderful Mother's Day.
I wanted to take a moment to show you how I finished up my Mother's Day gifts for my Mom and my Mother-in-law. Jumping on the bandwagon with the 'tea' craze this year both Mom's got some loose tea and an infuser from David'sTea.  Then I used Laurie Willison's Card Hanger die to create custom gift bags that co-ordinated with the Mother's Day cards I made last week HERE and HERE. I die cut the card hangers from white and then stamped them using the same images as the card in the same colours.

I am linking up my tags to the Moxie Fab World 350 Cards & Gifts Tag Challenge.

Edit:  Ooops French side of the box showing!

Quick and easy!

CASE Study #139

The Muse this week at CASE Study Challenge is Maile Belles. Maile has her own personal style of CAS Fabulous.  The CASE Study is based on this fantastic card of hers:

I really put my thinking cap on for this one and I kept coming back to the flower.  So I stamped a flower first on a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" cardstock.  Then I carefully used my trimmer to go along  about 1" in from the edge of the stamped piece to as close to the flower as I could, then fussy cut the flower.  Then I adhered it with foam tape to an embossed cardstock base.

Here is my card:

All supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted.

Cardstock:  Whit
Stamps: Daydreamer
Ink:  New Leaf, Winter Wisteria (PTI)  Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko)
other: dot embossing folder (Cuttlebug)
