This week`s sketch is based on a card of mine from a couple of years ago HERE. I didn`t use a mat this time, I varied the width of my horizontal strips and I used coordinating patterned paper instead of stamping ob them.

It's time for a new sketch at RetroSketches!

I finally pulled out my MFT Stamps Harvest Mouse stamps and dies. I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to be able to colour the little mouse. This is honestly the cutest set with the sweetest images and sentiments. 

Just waiting on Ardyh, Emily and Natasha for our Muskoka Crafty Retreat!

Just got a text they are 10 minutes away--Yay!

This is also for Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Colouring Challenge of which I have fallen so far behind in. Today I used Copics to colour my image.

Hope you are having a great weekend. I am on a little getaway visiting my hubby, for a few days before we come back together for Brooklyn's grade 12 graduation and Canadian Thanksgiving!

Now it's time for a new sketch at RetroSketches!

I have not pulled these Technique Tuesday Chickadees out for a long time they are just so cute!

I blended the little guy with Copic markers--two blues and the colourless blender.

This is also for Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Colouring Challenge. A little colouring on the road,  I wish I had all my Copics with me, but then I would have had to check my bag!

It's time for a new sketch at RetroSketches!

This week our sketch is inspired by an adorable card that Arielle previously posted. My theme is inspired by Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I missed the summer hop because we were in the throws of buying, selling and moving but I didn't want to let this one go by without playing. My technique is inspired by Anita Bowden's gorgeous card over at MUSE this week, I went with the technique of embossing, her circles and pastel colour palette.

Yesterday I told you that I still haven't located one of the boxes from my craft room. In that box is my Papertrey Ink Drips & Dribbles stamp set which I wanted to use for my card. So I thought outside the box and grabbed a coffee cup from the kitchen and some kraft ink--wala coffee spills!

I am also linking this up to Time Out Challenges #40 which is to case my card as a reminder there is still time to play along.

When I woke up this morning fall in definitely in the air, I can't believe that two days ago I had the air conditioning on! It was sunny and beautiful today  I spent a bit of time sitting our back this afternoon but I was glad that I had a long sleeved shirt on.

I finally used my Reverse Confetti Shine Bright stamps and Sun n' Clouds Confetti Cuts o create my card today.  I remember seeing Jen del Muro colour this sentiment in ombre with Copics and I had to try it. I added a Wink of Stella over the letters. Looked fabulous in the sunlight but of course overcast when I went to take the photo.

I am also submitting this to Darnell's NBUS challenge.

I am also adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember Use a Stamp Challenge.

Time for a new sketch at RetroSketches!

Such a busy week getting both of our kids off to university. My daughter is right in there meeting new people and participating in all the activities going on during Frosh Week. It makes me so happy to see her adjusting so well. Ben has been busy this week setting up his new apartment--he moved from the back of the house that he shared with 3 others last year to the front of the house with 1 of the guys. Today I am glad they are only 2 hours away as we are heading up this afternoon to have dinner with the kids and bring Brooklyn the things she forgot.

I kept it pretty true to the sketch this week but I knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to use one of many vellum mason jar die cuts I have been hoarding for too long.

Time for a new sketch at RetroSketches!

It has been almost two months since I posted for RetroSketches so I thought it was a good time to jump back in.

I thought that now that I have 'sort of' set up my craft room that creating once again would be like riding a bike--not so much. I was able to get a good start on my recycling for next week's pick up though.  I finally settled on my MFT Tickled Pink stamps and dies that I bought two months ago and have been packed away. I sponged some Persimmon Distress Ink onto white cardstock to try to achieve the ombre shades of a flamingo and then I die cut my bird from that.  My layers are all white and I popped the top panel and Flamingo wings up with some foam tape.

Today is Sandie Munro's birthday (London Days) and Kylie (Addicted to CAS) is hosting a birthday linky party for her!  Sandie is such a sweetheart and bloggie friend. This time I put a birthday spin on it using the sign from Papertrey Ink's RetroStyle Birthday stamps and dies along with some fun patterned paper.
