My favourite fall treat from Starbucks is a Salted Caramel Mocha, half sweet.
What is your favourite fall coffee treat?

Coffee Lover's Blog Hop Q & A (as suggested by Virginia Lu)...

1. When did you start drinking coffee?

I remember sitting with friends one weekend after I was married and discussing how could anyone drink coffee--yuck! Well throw in two years of teaching and I became a coffee addict just in time to have to stop drinking for a while it because I became pregnant with my first!

2. What is favorite brand?

I love Starbucks Guatemala, Tim Hortons (because I am a real Canadian) and Green Mountain Coffee Nantucket Blend K-Cups.

3. What is the most amazing coffee that you had?

Most amazing was at Soporafino's in Oshawa before we even lived here with my husband. Amazing food too. We went there every year for Valentines Day. Sadly they closed a few years ago.

4. If I don't drink my needed coffee, I will...

...be a zombie until I have my cuppa to get going.

I am also linking this up to the Inkspirational Beverages/Drinks challenge!

I hope that you come and play along!
Thank you Chaitali for organizing this fabulous blog hop!
Have a wonderful day!!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Cuppa Cocoa Reminder

IMG_3729

There is still time to play for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Cuppa Cocoa

Like most paper crafters I have some some big time shopping and hoarding issues.  LOL It felt so good to type that out loud! I love patterned paper and I have a closet full of 12 x 12 sheets waiting to be used for scrapbooking and I have now managed too accumulate three plastic bins full of 6 x 6 pads that I could not live without. Sound familiar?   I am really trying to explore using patterned paper in my cardmaking, I love it when I see so many of you using it, what seems to be effortlessly too! Swoon ! So although it feels awkward, it does feel good to cut into these pads with the intention of making something pretty.  Wish me luck on this endeavor. I love the theme of the current Curtain Call Challenge  so I wanted to make another card. This one is more coffee inspired and once again I am using paper from my Persimmon pad. I am also submitting this card for the current Reverse Confetti SFYTT challenge.

You have another 3 days to play along, the challenge closes on February 10th!  Hope you play along.

We have a fabulous new sponsor, My Favorite Things, for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Cuppa Cocoa challenge!  The LEAD of this challenge will receive a $20 gift certificate to use at My Favorite Things!

Believe it or not these are the first sheets of paper I have removed from my Basic Grey Persimmon paper pad.  I was late getting this collection and it was time to get cracking on Christmas so this week's challenge seemed the perfect time to use some of this fabulous paper.  I paper pieced my cup of cocoa and added some fussy cut marshmallows on the side.

The Card Concept - Challenge #1 - Colours

IMG_3510

Well here we are with the first challenge for The Card Concept!

Our first challenge is a colour challenge, so you as a participant use the colours to create your card and then create your card based on one of the six defined styles from The Card Concept. I am one of the Clean & Simple Designers for The Card Concept and here is my card based on the colours.  Inspired by these colours I made a smaller card (4 1/4" x 4 1/4") which I added a stitched square to that was slightly smaller. I used a smaller image and sentiment and then added some enamel dots to add interest without clutter.

I added another cute sentiment to the inside of the card...
