Neat and Tangled Birthday Bash

I am thrilled today to be a guest designer for the 1st Birthday celebration of Neat and Tangled stamps.
Neat and Tangled is a stamp company founded by Danielle Walls.  Danielle is the sweetest and her stamps make a perfect impression every time, even right out of the package.

Head over to the Little Tangles Blog to see the whole post and maybe you will find prizes or perks!!

Little Tangles #17

I created a card for the latest Little Tangles challenge Into the Woods!  I haven't played along is such a long time, but I have so many bloggy friends on the Design Team over at Neat & Tangled I just have to play this time. Little Bear is one of my favourite Neat & Tangled stamp sets and it was also one of my first.

The challenge this time is to use some kind of natural texture on your projects. I selected some October Afternoon Campfire paper I have been hoarding for a long time and cut a square of star gazing for my background. Then I pulled out some cork and inked the huge speech bubble up to stamp on it and then fussy cut. I stamped the other images and used Copic markers to colour them in before I fussy cut them. This project is a bit out of my comfort zone but we need to push ourselves sometimes to see what we can do.

Little Tangles #4: Clean & Simple

Sharing a card I made for this week's Little Tangles Challenge Blog.  This week's challenge was to make a card that is CAS.  My inspiration came directly from the Neat & Tangled Design Team.  Their Pinterest Board is loaded with great projects.  I used Little Bear Stamp set for my scene and my sentiment is from Sweet Home.

Little Tangles #3: Color Challenge

Little Tangles is having their 3rd challenge and this one is a colour challenge.

I just love these colours together.  Next week my Dad turns 85!  He is one of the most kind, wonderful and thoughtful men that I know and feel so lucky to have been raised by him and still have him in my life.  Although you may say that these are not really masculine colours, the message is clear.  My Dad is my biggest advocate and I know he will love it.

After stamping the focal panel I ran it through my Cuttlebug with Papertrey Ink's Diagonal Stripes Impression Plate.  Then I added a piece of red polka dot washi tape and a couple of hearts that were stamped and cut out of a piece of white cardstock.

Cardstock:  White, Aqua Mist (Papertrey Ink)
Stamps: Kindness Matters Neat & Tangled)
Ink:  True Black, Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist (PTI)
IP: Diagonal Stripes (PTI)
other: polka dot washi tape, black sharpie, 5/8" circle punch

Little Tangles #1

By now I am sure you are aware of the fantastic stamps at Neat & Tangled.  I kid you not they stamp beautifully every time.  Now there is a new challenge blog at Neat & Tangled called Little Tangles and today I am here to share my card for their first ever challenge Say Hello!

I have quite a few Neat & Tangled stamp sets, but I seemed to be lacking a 'hello', for just that reason Neat & Tangled has supplied a a couple free digital images to get us started.  I chose the hello image and then just used the word hello, then I went through all my sets and found as many combinations as I could to create a card to tell someone hello and how great I think they are.  In my case I am saying hello to Neat & Tangled and I think their stamps are pretty great.

Cardstock:  White, Limeade (Papertrey Ink)
Stamps: Kindness Matters, Sweet Home, Little Bear, Elvs at Work (Neat & Tangled)
Ink:  Summer Sunrise, Pure Poppy, Blueberry Sky, Hibiscus Burst, Winter Wisteria, Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores, Simply Chartreuse, Orange Zest, New Leaf, Sweet Blush (Papertrey Ink)
Digital Image: hello (Neat & Tangled)

This week's CASual Friday's Challenge is to use kraft is your project.  What is not to love about kraft, it goes with everything.  In my case I chose to combine kraft with red and Christmas.  My card went together so quick and easy and it is a design I can keep on using for Christmas cards.  This was also an opportunity to use the Sweet Home stamp set from Neat & Tangled.  I love Danielle's stamps the images stamp beautifully and the handwriting is so pretty.

At the time of posting this I am hearing the high wind gusts against the house.  Sandy should be arriving is these parts later tonight, not as a hurricane, but bringing lots of rain and high wind gusts.  We are under an  advisory from Environment Canada.  Fingers crossed that the storm doesn't turn into snow.  I hope that all my friends on the east coast are staying safe and dry this afternoon.
