Are you ready for this week's new CASology cue card?

Perfectly fitting for this time of the year.  The new cue card is:

I stamped my focal image and sentiment on my card base but wanted to accent it with some patterned paper. I created a frame using two stitched mats. When you have a smaller focal image and/or sentiment using a frame grounds it so that your elements are not lost on the page.

CCC #6 - School

Time for another cue word at CASology!  It's that time of the year again when the kids go back to school a year older and a year wiser.  Parents as much as we love having them home we can't wait for then to go back to school.  This week CASology cue word is

For my CAS inspiration this week I created a card for my daughter who is going into grade 10 this fall. I have always made cards to encourage her when she returns to school.  With her being 15 I needed to make a card that was cool, not babyish and that gives her gentle persuasion to keep working hard to maintain her grades.

I decided to go with an all white card.  I limited the number of items I placed on the focal panel to:

• a white die cut, clear embossed apple popped with a foam dot for the COOL
• a red stamped A+ for the gentle encouragement to keep up her grades and add some interest and pop to the design
• a simple computer generated sentiment
