The Card Concept Challenge #14 - Colour Challenge

IMG_5556

Today is the start of a new challenge at The Card Concept!
We have a colour challenge for you this time, can you guess what they are?
Yup you guessed them...

I was not having a great colouring night, I find it so hard to Copic colour bold colours like red and black every little slip is a big slip!  Inspired by the three pillow, three hot air balloons. I still love this stamp set after all these years!

Time for this weeks new colour palette at the colourQ!

Is that tea cup not adorable?

I broke out my new PTI Circled Scribbles for my card, keeping really clean and simple. I can't wait to try out different technique with new set. I combined these funky scribbles with a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays Exclamations! I love it when you can combine products from different manufacturers when making a card, maximizes the use of your stamps and justifies the month spent!  LOL

colourQ #198 and CAS(E) this Sketch #36

IMG_1806

Happy Tuesday and time for another colourQ challenge!
This week is an interesting blend of rich colours.

For my congratulations card, I used a polaroid frame die, a leaf die and a banner die to support a single stamped image.  A few matching sequins to balance it out or maybe just to make me happy. ;)  I used this week's sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #36 for my card.

CCC #47 and CFC103 and Addicted to CAS #14

Welcome back for this week's CASology challenge.
You will notice at the CASology blog that we have had a makeover, a new Clean & Simple look.
You definitely need to drop in to see it.

This week our cue card is:

Are the wheels turning already??

I can think of a certain young man that will be getting this card is a couple of weeks.  Hoping the colours are not too girly for him.  I also hope he doesn't think he is getting a car.  LOL

Tilting your design adds more interest to a smaller image and adding some stamping behind the focal image creates movement. I am also submitting this card to CAS-ual Fridays congratulations challenge and Addicted to CAS #14.

Guest Designer & Fusion Card Challenge Hypothesis #1 & CFC97

Have you heard about the new Fusion Card Challenge Blog?

Lesley Croghan and Jackie Rockwell have teamed up to bring you a new 'scientific' concept in challenge blogs called Fusion!

PROCEDURES:
1. Play with just Jackie's sketch challenge.
2. Play with just Lesley's inspiration photo challenge.
3. Or you can create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.
4. Use the challenge graphic and link back to Fusion in your post.

I am so excited that Lesley and Jackie have asked me to be the first Guest Designer at Fusion.  What that means is that I will be taking on this week's photo and this week's sketch and creating FUSION!

Here is this week's Hypothesis!

and here is my card...

I had a method when I approached the challenge.  I am a CAS card designer, so I knew that I needed to keep  my card true to me.  I decided that I wanted to keep as close to Jackie's sketch as I could and still maintaining CAS style.   I also knew that I wanted to draw the colours and flowers from Lesley's photo.  So I started with a simple chevron stamped across the card and I stamped my sentiment in the same spot as the sketch.  I created my flowers and then adhered them in the same location as the black shapes on the sketch.  Two flowers plus the sentiment create a visual triangle.  So that is my science.

I hope you play along with this new challenge blog, I think it will be a blast!

I am also submitting this card for this week's CAS-ual Friday's Challenge
