The 12 Kits of Occasions - October '15

Time for another month of the 12 Kits of Occasions!

The theme this month is travel and it seems time is what is traveling--it's the end of October people! We are posting on the October 30th again this year because tomorrow is Halloween and whether you are busy getting your little ones out or you have trick or treaters at your door--it is a busy night!

Joyce was out hostess this month and she sent us the most fabulous kit loaded with fabulous papers, amazing die cuts and really fun and unique travel sentiments! I had so much fun with this kit, I think that I have never really created travel cards. The cards were self-assembling and I think I could still make many more with the leftovers.  I have come down to the city for an appointment and to spend a few days with my parents so my Mom joined me while I as putting my cards together and as a special treat she made a card with the kit. She loves to make cards, I have saved every card that she has ever made for me. Her blog debut card is the last card on this post. I hope you will get to see more of her cards again.

So lets get going with what you are here for, the cards...

...and as promised a card by Lynn Mehak!

Sam didn't want to miss out on the post either...

This week I had a call from Brooklyn that she forgot her Halloween costume T-shirt at home. She had too Halloween parties this week on Thursday (as a Nun) and Friday (Minnie Mouse) and for Saturday her T-shirt three years ago to wear to school. So I express posted it up to her--

Happy hopping!

CCC #170

It's time for a new Cue Card at CASology
This week's Cue is:

My great idea this week was to make an autumn coloured heart using my ZIG pens. However, I still learning with them and no matter what I did I either got my colours too dark or the transition was too harsh. After countless tries I ended up going with on of the lighter hearts because the was the one that spoke to me--LOL!

Pop over and have a look at what the rest of the Design Team has created to inspire you...

Muse #139

Good Monday Morning and it is my week over at Muse!

I was very lucky to have won the Altenew/Simon Says Stamp collaboration set Layered Flowers during the Stamptember event last month! Although at first I was a bit intimidated by it, once I stamped it out and practiced putting he layers together I was in love.

For my Muse card this challenge I thought I would make a birthday card before my blog is filled with Christmas tags and cards. This one has already gone out in the mail. I only stamped the flowers and leaves two layers, not three,  because I felt it was enough. I added a gold embossed sentiment and a sprinkle of sequins and called it done.

I really can't wait to see how you are inspired by my card this week over at Muse. I am sure your creations will inspire me all over again!

Hello, I am happy to share with you that I am guesting over on The Frantic Stamper blog for the next few months. I have been having fun playing with some of their precision dies and clear stamps to make this cute and spooky Halloween card.  Pop over to the blog to see the whole card reveal and how I put it together.

RetroSketches #187

Happy Saturday!

It's time for a new sketch at RetroSketches!

This week`s sketch is based on a card of mine from a couple of years ago HERE. I didn`t use a mat this time, I varied the width of my horizontal strips and I used coordinating patterned paper instead of stamping ob them.

Inspired by the theme of of Halloween I am also submitting this to...

Tag You're It Challenge #33

I think this is the week of Halloween inspired challenges.
It is time for a new challenge at Tag You're It!

I was inspired by Kara Lynne's cute candy corn inspiration photo, tag and colours.
I created a black tag, stamped and embossed the tag outline and sentiment with white embossing powder. Then I stamped, Copic coloured  and fussy cut the candy corn and adhered it to the tag with tape and foam tape.

I am also submitting this to the following challenges...

This is also for Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Colouring Challenge of which I have fallen so far behind in. Today I used Copics to colour my image.

Reverse Confetti SFYTT

When I received my order from Reverse Confetti I could not wait to play with the new Jolly Holiday stamps and dies. Isn't that reindeer just the cutest? It is also an opportunity to play along with this month's SFYTT.

This is also for Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Colouring Challenge of which I have fallen so far behind in. Today I used Copics to colour my image.

Does buying a roll of stamps from the post office count as almost having my Christmas cards done?
Those were US stamps, next week I will buy a roll of Canadian stamps.

I have had a few more visitors. Some more wild turkeys who survived the Canadian Thanksgiving:

This is the third visit from the fox, I have never seen one up this close. It walked right up to my craft room window and didn't see me taking pictures of him until he went to the back of the house and when he spotted me he scooted back into the woods.
