Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Feeling Nautical

IMG_1737

It's finally here, opening day at the Curtain Call inspiration Challenge and time for the first challenge.
Are you feeling a bit nautical?

Verve Stamps not only provided the crew with stamps on dies for this challenge but they are also the sponsor! So the card that takes the lead in this first challenge will also get their own Strong Anchor stamp set and coordinating Nautical Die Set  dies!

Here is my card inspired by our first photo using these fabulous stamps and dies!
I learned something new through this, I learned how to tie a figure eight knot!
Edit: I am also submitting this cad to the current Simon Says By the Sea Challenge, the challenge was posted after I posted this card, so I am just entering to play along. It wouldn't be eligible for the GC.

DD #55 Bold and Sassy Colours

Happy Saturday and welcome to this week Dynamic Duos Challenge!

I was playing with my Silhouette again for this card and created my own dies to use with my Verve Good Friends stamp set.  Stampin Up cardstock cuts beautifully with it. After I die cut one of each of the three sizes of flowers I did some tone on tone stamping.  We really hope that you join us in the fun this week, you have until Thursday noon (PST) to enter the challenge.

Cardstock:  Raspbery Ripple, Wisteria Wonder (Stampin' Up)
Stamps: Good Friends (Verve) Stylish Sentiments Birthday (Papertrey Ink)
Ink:   Scarlet Jewel, WinterWisteria (PTI)
Dies: custom dut files (Silhouette) Stitched Mats (Lil' Inkers)

We hope that you come a play with us this week at the colourQ and while you are there make sure to visit the blogs of the rest of the Design Team to see their fabulous creations.

CCC #44

Time for a new CASology Cue Card.  This week our Cue Card is:

By using paper piecing you can add lots of interest to a CAS card without the bulk of multiple layers.  Very excited to use my new Surely Goodness stamp set from Verve stamps.  It is my first Verve purchase so you will be seeing lots more of this one.  For my card I created die cuts for the flowers using my Silhouette. Then I used them to cut my images using patterned papers from Lawn Fawn's Daphne's Closet and then stamped the image on top.  This is such a cool technique and gives your image depth.  I added a piece of foam tape behind the image to add some dimension again without bulk.

Head on over to CASology today to learn what the 'cue card' means to you, how you can play along and see the all the cards created by the Design Team to inspire you.
