Lunar New Year November

Hi there crafty friends, it's Tracey back on the blog today sharing my November card for the Lunar New Year Challenge. We have some amazing sponsors again this month, see them at the bottom of the post.

For my card today I used the Lawn Fawn Pull 'n Slide Surprise along with the cute Celebration Sssssalutations stamp set by Triniy Stamps. I started out by ink blending my background panel on a piece of Bristol Smooth paper. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmelade, Crackling Campfire and Seedless Preserves. Once dry I splattered the panel with gold Altenew Metallic Watercolour and set it aside to dry while I made the remainder of the card.

The image from Trinity Stamps Celebration Sssssalutations was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then it was coloured with Copic markers and set aside while I worked on the slider mechanism.

All the slider pieces were cut out and scored from kraft and cream coloured cardstock. I stamped the front sentiment and then stamped the inside sentiments in green.

This slider card is actually quite easy to put together. There are not a lot of pieces. I glued the cute snake  the front of my slider so that when you pull it up the snake pops up with his birthday balloons! Here is a viwe of the top of the card.

The slider piece was attached to the card front with some foam tape giving it some extra dimension. Here is a view of the bottom of the card. So much fun to make and and sssssuper cute!!
