Color Hues #121 - Orange and Bro

Oops! I made a little error in the heading for this post, but so I don't mix up the links I am leaving it.

Today we start another new colour duo at the Color Hues Color Challenge. Teammate Sheri Gilson chose the colours Orange & Brown! Please also welcome Valerie who is our guest designer for this challenge.

Autumn has been in full swing here with the leaves now off the trees! We have had a particularly gorgeous fall this year with not only colour but temperatures too. This week however we have seen frost, rain and snow which is nature's subtle reminder that winter isn't far away.

Although the Canadian Thanksgiving was two weeks ago, it's never too early to start making cards for next year. For my card I used the Greetery's BontaniCuts: Mighty Oak for my branch and leaves. The leaves were cut from Concord & 9th's Creamsicle and Clementine cardstock. Then I added some more shading to them using Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink.

The acorns were cut from Concord & 9th Nutmeg cardstock and some kraft cardstock from my scraps. I added some shading to them using Fryed Burlap Distress oxide ink.

The pumpkins are from Lawn Fawn's Build-a-jack-o'lantern cut again from Creamsicle and Clementine then shaded with Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink. I added a little face from the same die set for the pumpkin in front! I finished it off with a couple more cute acorns in front.

The sentiment is an old favourite, Pretty Pink Posh Pumpkin Patch Critters. I stamped it on the kraft cardbase with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I cut my focal panel down to 5 1/4" x 4" so that I could have a white bodrer around it. This is a bit fussier than my usual cards but it was so much fun to make!

I'm excited to see what you do with the colors for this challenge!
I hope you can stop by the Color Hues blog to see what my talented teammates have made and see what inspires you to create!
