Color Hues #58

Hi there friends! Today we start another new color duo at the Color Hues Color Challenge #58

I chose the colours for this challenge and chose Lime Green and Cyan because I think we all could use a little bit of brightness this time of the year. We have seen so much snow and grey skies here this winter and I'm missing the sunshine so much.

On to my card, if you have done any foiling you know how hard it is to take a good photo of it. SO my photos may seem a bit overexposed but I wanted to catch the shine. I stenciled the Studio Katia Birthday Balloons stencil for the front of my card. Then I added an MFT Stamps Happy Birthday foil die using turquoise foil. A few Studio Katia Sparkling Round Gems and called it done.

A couple more photos to capture the foiling.

The sparkle gems have a cross hatched pattern on them that kind of hard to see in the photo but look really good as a subtle accent.

Head over to the Color Hues to see what my fabulous teammates have created with the colors!
I can't wait to see what you do this challenge.

Fun Food Inspired Valentines

Hi there, I have a few more cards to share for Valentines. The Love You More dies from Concord & 9th and the matching stamp set make for some fun and cute Valentines.

I wish that there was a set like this when my kids were young and needed Valentines for their friends. They never wanted mom to make cards because they wanted to buy the latest and greatest cheap cards from the store--Spongebob and Lizzie McGuire come to mind--lol! I was telling this story to my daughter last week and she told me that next year I could make cards for all the little's in her kindergarten class. I guess I have some work to do!

This year not too many cards's left the house but I have a good start for 2024!

Thanks for stopping in today!

I've been having such fun playing with the new Lawn Fawn Giant Love Ya dies. I made one more card in RED. Really simple 4 1/4" square card matted with pink and a red scalloped square from MFT Stamps was placed on top.

I am also submitting these cards to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #141!

@traceymcneely

I made a four Valentine's card for today using supplies that can be found at the the Scrap 'N Stamp online store. I used new products from Lawn Fawn for my projects today. There are so many possibilities with the Lawn Fawn Giant Love Ya die. I love it when there are more than one way to use a craft die! I did LOTS of inlaying on my cards, I have a tip that helps me have stress free inlaying. I put all the pieces from my die cutting into a small dish. You`ll be thankful that you have all the pieces contained and not on the floor.

The next two card have a bit more masculine vibe to them.

Here is a closer look at each of the cards. All the products I used to create today and linked down at the bottom of the post.

I am also submitting these cards to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #141!

Don`t forget that you need to comment on my Instagram for your chance to win. Comments left here make me happy, but will not count as an entry.

February Woodblock Wednesday

Hi there, I'm playing along with Amy Tsuruta's for her February Woodblock Wednesday

If I were to tell you that I opened up my boxes of woodblock stamps and I got a little lost--lol! I selected a favourite stamp, one of my first stamps, by All Night Media called Browning Poem. I always had some trouble getting a good impression but using Catherine Pooler ink in Twilight it was perfect on the first stamp. Of course I had to make sure it was straight first!

I stamped and fussy cut a Hero Arts woodblock heart called Polka Dot Heart in Catherine Pooler's Rockin' Red. A Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle and some foam tape and the card came together easily!

Thanks so much for stopping in. Hope you join me tomorrow for Scrap N' Stamp Canada's February Inspiration Hop!

Have a great day

Color Hues #57

Hi there friends! Today we start another new color duo at the Color Hues Color Challenge #57! Sage & Coral are the colors this challenge. I was a bit stumped with at what to make for my card this time but somehow this cutie cactus from Concord & 9th made it's way to my table.

Using Catherine Pooler's Sage & Coral Cabana ink pads I created my own cardstock to use with the die cuts. Once they were dry I cut the cactus and the squiggle from the Sage cardstock and cut the pot and the cactus flowers from the Coral Cabana cardstock. I used the slightly darker shades of ink around the edges for a bit of dimension.

I can't wait to see what you do this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!
