Color Hues Challenge #25

Hi there! Wow September 1st, where did the summer go?

The weather this year has been crazy crazy! Where I am we had beautiful early spring, an awesome June that was hot with no humidity, no black flies or mosquitoes. Sounds amazing so far, right?

Well in comes July--rain so heavy and hard that it drowned most of my annuals and cold! We had smoke advisories due to the crazy wildfires in both northern Ontario and across from Manitoba and B.C. August was just one big record setting heat wave. So I could go on and on but I have the feeling that most of you are experiencing strange weather wherever you are too! Moving on...

I am super excited to finally be able to share with you that I'm joining the amazing designers and team at the Color Hues Color Challenge! After not crafting much this past year I am so excited to be here and hopefully bring you lots of colour inspiration. The Color Hues Challenge is celebrating their first anniversary this month and there is a surprise for you over on the blog.

So many ideas were running through my head but I chose this fun summer stamp by Studio Katia called Citrus Trimmings! I stamped and clear embossed in black and then dusted off and coloured with ZIG markers (colours are linked below). The sentiment is from MFT Stamps Right At Home, that set has so many fabulous sentiments!

A closer look at the finished panel that was embellished with some Studio Katia Clear Drops.

Make sure you visit the Color Hues Challenge and check out the amazing inspiration from my teammates and play along while you are there! Can't wait to see what you create!

How wonderful to have you joining a design team again, Tracey! If it weren't for your CASology gig, we may have never met - what a shame that would have been!
Gorgeous, juicy, bright and beautiful citrus-y goodness in these theme colors!

So very excited to have you join the DT! The citrus stamp was a perfect choice for the orange/yellow combo, and your watercoloring is gorgeous! Of all the citrus stamps I've seen this summer, I think this is my favorite!

The vibrancy of this card is off the charts. What a chic, fun, and thoroughly beautiful (not to mention lifelike) depiction of one of nature's most refreshing and beloved fruits.
