Scrap 'N Stamp Pooh & Friends Inspiration Hop

Happy Friday! Welcome to the Scrap 'N Stamp Canada Pooh & Friends Inspiration Hop! You should have arrived here from Tara's blog if you are following the hop. The full list is on the Scrap 'N Stamp blog HERE.

I have a few cards to share with you using the new Echo Park Winnie the Pooh Christmas collection. The collection brings back such warm memories from my childhood and the images are all so cute!

Purchasing a collection is such a great way to make a bunch of cards when time gets a bit tight and all the guesswork is taken out when all the papers and ephemera are all made to match. All that's left for you to do is use your your cardmaking skills and imagination as to what looks good with what.

I made three cards for today, but it staying out on my desk to make lots for the upcoming Christmas season!

Leave a comment here for your chance to win a $50 gift certificate for Scrap 'N Stamp Canada!

If that isn't enough you can save 20% on any Winnie the Pooh product on the Scrap 'N Stamp website!

Summer Fun with Altenew Inspiration Hop

It’s time for the monthly inspiration hop at Scrap 'N Stamp and we are celebrating Summer Fun with Altenew! The full hop order can be found on the Scrap 'N Stamp blog. I'm the first stop on the hop today and your next stop is listed down at the bottom of this post.

Scrap 'N Stamp now carries products from Altenew which is really exciting! Today I used the Altenew Folk Flowers builder stencil and the co-ordianting Folk Flowers Details stamps.

I used Catherine Pooler inks for my stenciling in a triad of colours off the colour wheel. The stencil was so easy to line up so that I could get a seamless transition in between each of the colours!

The details from the Folk Flowers Details stamp set were added to the panel--the veins on the leaves, the stamen from the flowers and the polka dots. Liquid Shimmer watercolor was splattered of the panel using a fan brush. The panel was trimmed down to 5 1/4" x 4" then added to the card base with foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Folk Flowers Details stamp set and I did a little stamp surgery so that the sentiment could run in a straight line, rather than on two lines! I embossed and trimmed the sentiment down then added it to the centre of the panel with foam tape once again.

A finishing touch were a few clear drops for that dewy look.

The next stop on the hop is fabulous Tara and you find her blog HERE. Remember to leave comments all along the hop for more chances to win!

My Dad was the king of Dad jokes and I was thinking about him when I made this card, he would have loved it. He will be missed this Father's Day for sure.

The Interactive mechanism was so east to put together!

I used the now retired Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid - Chill paper pad and the Flippin' Awesome Add-on dies for the scalloped base.

Scrap 'N Stamp Colours of Fall Inspiration Hop

Hi friends and Happy Friday. I'm back again hopping with Scrap N' Stamp Canada on Instagram for the Colours of Fall Inspiration Hop!

Please comment on my Instagram @traceymcneely for your chance to win a $50 gift certificate for the Scrap 'n Stamp Canada store.

Do you have a time of the summer when you know that summer is coming to an end? For me it has always been when the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) opens in Toronto. This year with everything going on it completely took me by surprise but it happened followed by September 1st and now the air is cleaner and crisper and I have even seen a few of the trees starting to take on the colours of fall!

I used Catherine Pooler Fall Calls for Latte stamps and dies for both of my cards. For my first card I created my own patterned paper using the leaf images from the set in autumn colours. Then I stamped and black heat embossed some of the coffee cups and then carefully coloured them with my Copic markers. You would think after all these years that I would have enough markers but I think I need to get a few more to match these newest ink colours-lol!

For the second card I made my own cardstock using 5 Catherine Pooler inks and once they were dry I stamped and die cut the three leaves with the same colour ink to create a tone on tone image. I made a pile of leaves on the card panel that I cut from Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables and rather than trying to glue each leaf separately I picked them all up with some Stretch and Seal, turned them over, applied glue to the backs of the leaf pile and then turned it back over and placed on my panel. No shifting at all!

I finished off by flicking some yellow gold Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry Colors watercolour on the card front. Any type of watercolour splatter would work like the new Kuretake Gansai Tambi Opal! I can't wait to get this set to try it out!
