Scrap 'N Stamp Canada | Halloween tags

Welcome to the Anything but a Card  Inspiration Hop for Scrap 'N Stamp Canada!
You should have arrived here from Tara's blog if you are following the hop!

Comment here on my blog, and all the stops on the hop, for your chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate for Scrap'n Stamp Canada!

For Anything but a Card I made a couple of Halloween tags using some new to me products purchased this year.

For this first tag I ink blended a background to cut my tag from using Distress Oxide inks--Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Peacock Feathers and Villainous Potion. I flicked black watered down acrylic paint on the panel.

The die cuts are all from the Tim Holtz Wicked and Gothic Protraits die sets.

The boo sentiment was cut from Spellbinders dark grey glitter cardstock.

A little piece of white paper was glued behind the cat's eyes.

For my second tag, which I almost did not post, I used the Lawn Fawn Cauldron lawn cut. The panel was first ink blended with Distress Oxide inks--Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet. Everything was going well until the end...been there before? An embossed sentiment over a bumpy surface is never a good idea, but it actually turned out not bad. Not as bold as I hoped but not bad either.

This is where it all went wrong. My white gel pen has been sitting for too long and it wasn't flowing--grrrr! That is something that can't be undone, so lets just call it wear marks on the sides of the cauldron.

Also while supplies last there is 25% off select Halloween products  until October 16th.

Don't forget to comment for your chance to win!

Thanks for stopping by today and please make your way back to Scrap'N Stamp to make sure you visited all the stops of the hop.

Scrap 'N Stamp 3D Valentine Hop

Welcome to the Dimentional Designs Inspiration Hop for Scrap 'N Stamp Canada!
You should have arrived here from Meghan K's blog if you are following the hop!

I used the Lawn Fawn Ta-Da! Diorama for my card today. I paired it up with some other fun sets from Lawn Fawn such as the new Lawn Fawn A Waffle Lot stamp set and dies, Strawberry Patch and Outside-In Stitched Hearts.

Pull on the side to open it up and Ta-Da!

I created my own heart opening for the diorama using the Lawn Fawn Outside-In Stitched Hearts dies.

I used the new to me Prism Studios Metals Snippers! I have never had a pair the gets right into the die and cuts so close--win win!

Once opened my waffle with a bite out of it is so happy to be reunited with it's Valentine waffle from the front of the Diorama!

I stamped the sentiment with Lawn Fawn Guava ink to match the Guava cardstock I used for the card.

The fun does not stop here. Scrap 'N Stamp Canada is not only giving away a $50 gift certificate to one lucky commenter but they are also having a sale...

I combined some new and some old Lawn Fawn stamps and dies for the hop. I started by foiling my background using the Lawn Fawn Snowflakes Foil plate. I ink blending over the background using Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks. Then snow along the bottom was cut with Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust sparkly cardstock. I splattered a bit of white paint for extra snow and sprayed the panel with a light coat of shimmer spray.

The Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Snow Globe was cut and ink blended with Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide inks. Blending the darker shades to the edges. I used the Ready, Set, Snow stamps and dies for the label on the snow globe.

The last piece I used the new Lawn Fawn Little Snow Globe stamps and dies to make the tiny snow globe inside the big snow globe and the doggie looking at it in anticipation of Christmas!

Summer Fun with Altenew Inspiration Hop

It’s time for the monthly inspiration hop at Scrap 'N Stamp and we are celebrating Summer Fun with Altenew! The full hop order can be found on the Scrap 'N Stamp blog. I'm the first stop on the hop today and your next stop is listed down at the bottom of this post.

Scrap 'N Stamp now carries products from Altenew which is really exciting! Today I used the Altenew Folk Flowers builder stencil and the co-ordianting Folk Flowers Details stamps.

I used Catherine Pooler inks for my stenciling in a triad of colours off the colour wheel. The stencil was so easy to line up so that I could get a seamless transition in between each of the colours!

The details from the Folk Flowers Details stamp set were added to the panel--the veins on the leaves, the stamen from the flowers and the polka dots. Liquid Shimmer watercolor was splattered of the panel using a fan brush. The panel was trimmed down to 5 1/4" x 4" then added to the card base with foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Folk Flowers Details stamp set and I did a little stamp surgery so that the sentiment could run in a straight line, rather than on two lines! I embossed and trimmed the sentiment down then added it to the centre of the panel with foam tape once again.

A finishing touch were a few clear drops for that dewy look.

@traceymcneely

I made a four Valentine's card for today using supplies that can be found at the the Scrap 'N Stamp online store. I used new products from Lawn Fawn for my projects today. There are so many possibilities with the Lawn Fawn Giant Love Ya die. I love it when there are more than one way to use a craft die! I did LOTS of inlaying on my cards, I have a tip that helps me have stress free inlaying. I put all the pieces from my die cutting into a small dish. You`ll be thankful that you have all the pieces contained and not on the floor.

The next two card have a bit more masculine vibe to them.

Here is a closer look at each of the cards. All the products I used to create today and linked down at the bottom of the post.

I am also submitting these cards to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #141!

Don`t forget that you need to comment on my Instagram for your chance to win. Comments left here make me happy, but will not count as an entry.

Scrap 'N Stamp Colours of Fall Inspiration Hop

Hi friends and Happy Friday. I'm back again hopping with Scrap N' Stamp Canada on Instagram for the Colours of Fall Inspiration Hop!

Please comment on my Instagram @traceymcneely for your chance to win a $50 gift certificate for the Scrap 'n Stamp Canada store.

Do you have a time of the summer when you know that summer is coming to an end? For me it has always been when the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) opens in Toronto. This year with everything going on it completely took me by surprise but it happened followed by September 1st and now the air is cleaner and crisper and I have even seen a few of the trees starting to take on the colours of fall!

I used Catherine Pooler Fall Calls for Latte stamps and dies for both of my cards. For my first card I created my own patterned paper using the leaf images from the set in autumn colours. Then I stamped and black heat embossed some of the coffee cups and then carefully coloured them with my Copic markers. You would think after all these years that I would have enough markers but I think I need to get a few more to match these newest ink colours-lol!

For the second card I made my own cardstock using 5 Catherine Pooler inks and once they were dry I stamped and die cut the three leaves with the same colour ink to create a tone on tone image. I made a pile of leaves on the card panel that I cut from Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables and rather than trying to glue each leaf separately I picked them all up with some Stretch and Seal, turned them over, applied glue to the backs of the leaf pile and then turned it back over and placed on my panel. No shifting at all!

I finished off by flicking some yellow gold Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry Colors watercolour on the card front. Any type of watercolour splatter would work like the new Kuretake Gansai Tambi Opal! I can't wait to get this set to try it out!
