A New Year of Birthdays

Happy Saturday!

After what has been a bit of a break for the 12 Kits of Occasions we are back today sharing what we have made with the January kit! I was the hostess for this month and I sent everyone a birthday themed kit to play with. After the holidays I thought this would be a fun change.

I hope that you hop along today over at the 12 Kits of Occasions. My Teammates and three special guests have lots of fabulous cards to show you too!

I made 7 cards for today with my kit.
The papers from Vicki Boutin's Let's Wander were the perfect mix of patterns for both masculine and feminine cards as well as cards that can be very gender neutral.

My first two cards were a twofer. I ink blended the MFT Stamps Big Birthday Wishes using Distress Inks in rainbow order. I used the main piece for my first card and made a shaker card.

All the pieces that came out of the first die cut to create a second card. I made a slimline card, inlaying the pieces therefore the twofer!

Thanks for popping in today, make sure you have a look at what the rest of the team has made!

Bright and beautiful cards here ,Tracey! Love how you used the negative of the BHB and then made it so bright and happy! I had so much fun with the kit , it was so fun sitting down to play with in the middle of all my sewing. Thank you .

I love all your cards Tracey and I'll start right off by saying how much I "oohed" and "aahed" over the first two. Your rainbow ink blending is absolutely perfect! Your kit was a party in itself and I had so much fun creating with it. Thank you so much for a great kit and all your amazing inspiration to help me use the left overs.

You gathered a nice kit.

Did you mean to include links to the other designers?

Your cards are ALL AMAZING but it's your first two that have blown me away, and I'm SO glad I kept the negative of the BIG Birthday Wishes, as I totally want to CASE your shaker card!! Thank you for putting together such a wonderful kit...it was exactly what I needed to get me out of my slump!! Take care my friend! Hugs. :0)

Wow Tracey. First of all, thank you so much for having me as your guest, and for sending me this fantastic kit. All my cards practically made themselves, and I had such pure joy creating from your kit. I really love your two fer..and how you added the white splatter and made the 2nd card a slimline. Such a great idea.

Tracey my friend, to say we're going out with a bang is an understatement... the theme, birthdays, was perfect, the dp papers, stamped images, twine, all perfect too! Honestly, I loved every bit! You truly are the hostess with the mostest! Big Birthday Wishes was the first card (s) I made, you did yours as a shaker, and I loved it! So colorful! All your cards are beautiful, and you were so generous with the papers, glad I saved the one with glasses, cuz I love yours with the simple pinwheel and banner. Thank you so much! Thought I was the clever one adding the happy birthday to the cup of crafting supplies, but see you did it too, and probably intended to have it there. Ha! Glad my brain got that right! Beautiful coloring on that one, btw! Hugs, sweet friend! And thanks again!

WOW, Tracey...talk about an amazing array of cards, each one as delightful and dazzling as the next! I'm especially crushing over your Big Birthday Wishes duo; your ink blending is superb! After seeing this particular die in action, it's on my wish list; so many possibilities! Thank you again for inviting me to be your guest; I have so many ideas percolating for what to do with my "leftovers"!
