The main prize draw HERE has five opportunities for you to enter and all the other days from Day 2 on you have one opportunity a day.  You also have an opportunity every day to visit my guests and comment on their blog posts for yet another chance. As long as you enter on or before November 27th 11:59 pm EST and follow the entry guidelines.

Today I have fabulous Wida Miller as my guest!
You can find Wida at her blog, Beachorado HERE. This is her tag, don't you just love that die cut?

Today I made a trio of tags that were so simple to put together. I wish I had this die when my kids were younger and I ran out of tags on Christmas Eve! The background papers are from Bo Bunny Candy Cane Lane and the die cuts are from Papertrey Ink Tinsel & Tags Market Kit.

In our house my family is well trained in the dynamics of recycling on Christmas Day when opening gifts. That is, if the bow is still in good shape you toss it over here and if the tag is too then set them aside. The tags go into envelopes the are labelled by name to be easily found and recycled the next year.  Mind you now that the kids are older there isn't the number of parcels under the tree like there used to be. As there tastes have grown pricier their parcels have shrunk--LOL.

Leave a comment to tell me whether your tags hit the garbage or if you recycle.

Thank you Wida for joining me today as my guest.
Don't forget to go visit her blog for another chance to win!

Recycle, recycle, recycle! I'm all about not wasting anything! So if the tag can be salvaged, it's definitely saved and recycled! I love the dies you and Wida used for your beautiful tags!

Recycle all the way.

Wida's tag is wonderful of course but, oh my, I just LOVE your circular tags! The colours, the designs, they're all fabulous! I will often keep tags that have been destroyed in the opening process. A lot of the tags are just stickers though so I don't keeps those. I will keep bows, bags and often tissue paper too! :-)

Such ELEGANT tags to INSPIRE today - LOVE them ALL!!! I am looking forward to being more adventurous with my tag shapes and adding lots of layers :)
I keep all my cards and tags but I keep them for the handwriting ... still haven't worked out the best way to store them yet. In the chaos of gift giving when the younger children are around, everything goes into the recycle bin, unless there is a special one that their parents notice & rescue in time. The older ones tend to get smaller gifts ... smaller is definitely not cheaper, many get money or gift cards too.

These are all fabulous tags, including the one made by Wida! In our house the "kids" are grown so what I've done is purchased those huge, holiday-themed felt "sacs" from Michaels, where their individual presents are wrapped & placed into. So each of them have their own bag - complete with their name on a tag - placed beside the tree. My 2 amazing Grandkids have their gifts placed under the tree individually, and since not much of the wrapping is spared in their enthusiasm to open them (LOL), I usually use the stick on tags for their gifts :-)

Love seeing Wida's tag...so pretty!

Tracey, your trio of tags are awesome...such a fun kit! I'm horrible, I use digi tags/labels for home..LOL. This year will probably be different because the gifts will be sparse since we're taking a vaca next spring and that's the kids' gifts :)

There is no such thing as throwing out ribbon in my house... I will say that the tags don't always get the up cycle agenda, but I love reusing different packaging material.

Love your tags, Tracey! Great colors and shapes.

My family mostly buys the self stick tags -- I am the only one who makes them! LOL!! So -- as far as I know -- they keep the ones that I make (or maybe I am delusional and am hoping they are keeping them! LOL!) -- I loveeeeeeeeeee these today! LOVING the trees on yours!!!!!!

If they don't take the tags home with them I recycle them. they may get the same tag next year or I'll give it to someone else if the writing is gone or can be removed.
I love your tags. They'll make great tree ornaments for the next year.

Congrats on 300!!!!!!
Love the tags today Tracey! We recycle ribbon and some tags....I buy beautiful wired ribbon so it goes straight into the Christmas box after opening.

I must admit I keep handmade cards and throw out a lot of the purchased ones, although we get so many photo cards at the holidays. They decorate our fridge until about the spring! I have taken to saving bits and pieces of Christmas cards I like for the PTI recycle hop on Dec 26 ;)

Wonderful tags. The ornament is so elegant on Wida's tag. Oh, I love the scenes on your PTI tags Tracey. I so wanted that kit, but it just wasn't doable. I don't usually recycle... I do have a box tough with all my unused stuff for the kids.

Love the ornament die cut Wilda used and your trio are simply adorable!! We were laughing at the baby shower because some of my aunts used gift boxes from a department store that has changed names three times!! Everyone was saying be careful, those are antiques!! Yep I recycle tags ribbons and bags too!!

Gorgeous trio of tags. The paper you used is so delicate looking. We try to recycle the tags, but it doesn't always happen.

Wow--these are all wonderful. Wida's is so delicate, and yours are so fun. Love that you used patterned paper on them. I don't know why I never thought of that.

wow these are gorgeous tags..

I recycle tags and bows from year to year especially if they are handmade. My mother in law makes beautiful fancy bows for the packages and my first Christmas with them I was horrified to see that they were all thrown out!

cm said...

Quadruple LOVE on the tags today, Tracey! I *need* to save up my dimes and nickels to invite some PTI products into my collection. You showcase your PTI goodies so beautifully that I'm finding 'resisting' irresistible! All three of your wee scenes: divine! When we're at my folks for Christmas, the recycle scene mirrors yours; we keep what we can to re-use/re-purpose. It's wonderful to have the two little ones, because us 'oldies' don't exchange presents like we used to. Now, the gift of 'time together' is the most precious. But for Ms. T and Mr. C...spoiling and pampering on my agenda!

Awesome tags! Love the die you used! I recycle my tags, especially if they are handmade!

Jinny Newlin said...

Oooo! What a beautiful trio of tags! Really love the pastel, patterned backgrounds, and the dimension is perfectly delish! I've never thought to reuse the tag as a tag. I've used them on other projects, but I don't pour a lot of effort into what I know will get tossed anyway. I save it for extended family ;).

Mostly trash, but I will grab what I can before it's tossed!

Love Wida's tag, and your trio of beauties are so charming, Tracey! I try to recycle as much as possible...it seems a shame to toss anything, especially with all the love we put into our projects :)

Tracey you must have saved up ideas for tags all year, great that you also have inspiration from your talented guests. These circle tags are amazing!!

I definitely save my cards we don't so much go for tags but that might be a turn around from me for my family this year. I love to take old cards apart and gather ideas from them.

I recycle tags and bags as much as possible. For many years we reused the same gift bags and tags for our two daughters gifts from Santa. The daughters are grown but I still have the bags and tags.

Love Wida's tag, that die-cut is gorgeous!! And I really love your trio of tag goodness. Those dies are so cute, especially the little deer. I made tags for all the presents last year and tried to save them but the kids go quite crazy when opening their gifts so the tags get a little squished....

Love the tags I try to recycle bags, boxes etc.

We always recycle tags in our house, especially homemade ones! My kids (and husband) are well trained!

Ruth G said...

I love your tags! The round shape is so much like a snowglobe with the scenes you created! Thanks so much for sharing!
I haven't really put a lot of time and effort into making tags in the past, until last year when I made really fun 3D ones and they all got tossed. That reminded my of why I don't make them too special, LOL!

Sharron said...

Fabulous tags today! Tracey, I love how you used the Tinsel & Tags set. What wonderful designs that would be fairly easy to mass produce. Love the patterned papers! Our family usually saves the ones I make. Everyone else uses the stick ons so those often get tossed.

Lindsey said...

Up until last years tags always went in the trash. I loved the ones I made last year, though, so I saved them and they'll be recycled this year. :) I think today's tags are my favorites...wishing this PTI kit hadn't been released at the same time we're paying baby bills. So glad I get to see your beautiful creations with it, though!!!
