After a really busy Christmas season I have been having trouble getting back into the creative groove this week. Partly because I have been so tired and partly because every time I start to create I am not feeling the love. I laboured over creating today's card that I am submitting for MIM #47 and the Color Throwdown #173. This should have been easy, pick a MIM from the last year and the Colours from Color Throwdown were easy--Valentine's Day is on the way. After changing my focal colours a few times I came up with this card which combines MIM #26: Decreasing Apertures with this weeks colours at CTD.

What a beautiful card!
Love this. It is amazing. Great use of the colors, and those die cuts line up perfectly. I never would have thought to use that little cameo stamp that way.

Tracey, I just LOVE how clean and simple but beautiful this card is! I feel like I've had a bit of a block in my creativity the last few days, and I'm afraid to break out all my new PTI supplies because of that. Awesome card. Love how you used thre heart to frame the cameo. I wasn't fond of that stamp until I saw the way you used it. Nicely done.

It was worth the effort. Cards using those colors can be very boring, and your card is anything but. Love all the layers leading to the inside image. Nicely done.
