Reverse Confetti July Color Challenge and The Cutting Edge Challenge #5

IMG_5755

A card for the July Reverse Confetti Color Challenge and the Cutting Edge Challenge #5!

I absolutely love this colour combination.  I am really excited to share my new friend with you, I think that IT going to be a bestie! My tripod!  We have had our tripod as long as the camera, maybe longer. My father in law passed it on to us and I have never taken the time to learn how to use it.  I hear all the time what a difference it makes.  Although I don't think my photos were horrible, what they lacked was clarity. I am going to have to continue to work with it, but I think I am on to something.

What do you think, do you use a tripod?

I am also submitting this to The Cutting Edge Challenge #5.  I was drawn to the summertime theme of Melania's card and her fresh and clean card design--lots of white space.

On the weekend my husband and I tried out our new Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker. He has wanted it for some time and when I saw it on sale last week for a great price I decided to pick it up.  Definitely going to be some fun!  Here is our first attempt at Margarittas, just traditional lime this time--Yum!

Reverse Confetti June Color Challenge

IMG_5284

Happy Monday Confetti Fans!
It is the 16th of the month and that means a new color challenge at Reverse Confetti!

I have been so lucky to be the Fetti Friend for the months of May and June and even luckier to get to play with the fabulous stamps and dies that were released on the 8th of May.

CASEing Susan Liles when she created roads using the Doin' the Wave Confetti Cuts on these card HERE and HERE. I made a card for my daughter who just got her license last week!  Her dream car is a punch buggy, so this sweet ride is perfect for her.

The bad news is that we need a new engine for Ben's car. The car is a 2003 and they no longer make SAAB's in North America, so finding an engine with reasonable mileage is difficult.  The car was my late father-in-laws car so we are struggling right now with how much do you spend on a car that age?  Ben, who is feeling a bit bummed, went to the cottage this weekend with the truck and picked up his dirt bike to take back to Muskoka with him to ride on the trails.   He hasn't rode his bike in over a year so you can see the excitement on his face when he got it started up.

I know this look, he wanted to bolt and he did. No helmet, just a quick run down the street and back!

Happy Birthday Sandie and Reverse Confetti May Color Challenge

cover

Yay it's Friday! Today is also Sandie from London Days birthday!
Nonni and Lynn are having a birthday linky party for you today and I am so thrilled to be participating in it for you.  You have always been such a sweet and supportive bloggie friend. I love how through the difficulties we both face we were able to connect last year. I hope that you have a fabulous birthday today and a wonderful year ahead my friend. I made a card for you using the these fabulous colours from the May Reverse Confetti Color Challenge.

I can't get enough of the new Let's Chill stamps and dies and got to work on my white popsicles with some ink blending.  I didn't have enough foam daubbers so I used triangular make up sponges. Starting from the bottom I inked in orange, then moved on to the dark pink then light pink.  I went back over where to colours met first with the darker shade and then the lighter shade.

Reverse Confetti March Color Challenge

IMG_4108

I can't get spring out of my head, this has been by far the longest and coldest winter I can ever remember. Winter is the toughest season for me and really it can't get warm fast enough.  So playing with this spring colour palette from Reverse Confetti was a chance for me to imagine spring.

I thought that the patterned paper I chose was a perfect match to the top of the dress in the inspiration photo.
