colourQ #240

IMG_4534

It's time for a new palette at the colourQ!

Creating a card using flowers from Lil' Inker Modern Mehndi this week.  When I create a card for a colour challenge I don't always have the required colours at my fingertips.  What I do I pull out all that I have and play with the combinations.  For my card this week I combined ink, cardstock and Copics to achieve the colours--then of course throw in a few sequins for luck!

Pretty Petals Clearly Besotted Guest Design

IMG_4243

Today is release day at Clearly Besotted Stamps for their April release! Today is also my final day of sharing projects with you as Guest Designer.  I have thoroughly enjoyed playing with this month's release and thank you Stephanie for asking me to be a part of the fun.

I am sharing a card with you from the Pretty Petals stamp set. There are three different flowers in the set and I made my card using the tulips hoping that I will see some in my garden really soon.

My beautiful niece and her fiance are being married in September.  So I am getting an early start on her card. She is a graphic designer with such a passion for life and created THE most unique wedding invitation that is so totally them.  With her permission I am sharing it with you along with the RSVP which is, can you believe it, a mad lib!  Enjoy!

Delightful Day - Clearly Besotted Guest Design

IMG_4219

My heart skipped a beat when Stephanie Wincott of Clearly Besotted emailed me and asked me if I would like to be a Guest Designer for the April release! I didn't have to think twice, of course I would be thrilled.  Stephanie is a sweet as can be and her stamps are so fabulous!

This month's release is amazing and as usual so unique.  Today I have the pleasure of introducing Design a Tree! There are so many options for all seasons and all occasions.  I used some distress ink and a cloud die to make a subtle sky background.

I used the solid tree top as a flower for this next card and a bit of layered stamping.

Another take on the first card, different colours and placement of the panels. This was actually the first card I designed.

All of the stamps that are being introduced during the teasers will be available for sale on the Clearly Besotted site April 5th.

Come back tomorrow for some more teasers!

CFC109 and Clearly Besotted Challenge #2 - Seeing Spots

I haven't played CAS-ual Fridays in a few weeks now and I couldn't let a polka dot challenge be left undone. I just received my new Clearly Besotted stamps the other day and since they are also having a spotted challenge it seemed like it was time to make a card. This is another card that I will slip into my hubby's suitcase next week when he gets home from Wisconsin and before he goes back.  He has always been my biggest fan and supporter and now I love the reaction when he finds a card that was made just for him and a few challenges too, but he doesn't need to know that!

Once again stitched Mats make a perfect frame for my scene.
