I used the faux layered die cuts technique that I picked up from the recent Clean & Simple Card Making 3 class to create a one layer panel with inlaid die cuts.The sentiment was embossed over the cuts.

Dynamic Duos #74 and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge

Happy Saturday and a Happy Thanksgiving weekend to my Canadian friends!

It is also time for a new colour duo at Dynamic Duos!

This week is a subtly your challenge featuring the following duo:

For my card I stamped the large houndstooth pattern from Papertrey Ink's Autumn Pattern Pieces onto a piece of Harvest Gold cardstock in Berry Sorbet ink, mounted onto a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock and added a sentiment using a Vintage Cream  stitched circle.

I am also submitting this to this week's Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, using a rubber or clear stamp.

I haven't played along at CAS-ual Fridays in so long, did it not seem that the summer just vanished?

So this week seemed like a good week to jump back it. I used the very first embossing folder I ever bought and knew it would be perfect for this week's challenge. I stamped my sentiment on white and heat embossed with Tangerine Zing powder.

CASE Study #152

I created a card for this week's CASE Study.  This month's Muse is Jennifer McGuire! 

Jennifer was my first stamping crush. Back before blogging and the days when I couldn't wait for the annual Hero Arts catalog to come out.  I am also submitting this card to the Moxie Fab Trendy Triangle Challenge, the Moxie Fab World Birthday Card Challenge (hope I am not double dipping Cath!) and this week's Simon Says Wednesday Triangles challenge.

I knew right away that I wanted to use my sunbeam stamp from Fresh Squeezed stamps and a perfect opportunity to use my Hero Arts Shadow inks that I am just starting to get to know.

Happy Birthday to my big sister today. Sieze the Birthday is now running their sketchfor two weeks and you can create either a masculine or feminine card.  CAS-ual Fridays is celebrating their 2 year anniversary and their 100th challenge.  Once again I got to use another new set form CAS-ual Fridays Stamps--Bold Wishes. So armed with the sketch from Seize the Birthday and a tic-tac-toe challenge from CAS-ual Fridays I created a card. Once again I got to use another new set form CAS-ual Fridays Stamps--Bold Wishes. I chose three in a row across the bottom of the grid--birthday, bling and die cuts.
