Hi there crafty friends, I'm back on the Lunar New Year Challenge blog sharing my December card. We have fabulous sponsors again this month, see them at the bottom of the post.
This month I used primarily Lawn Fawn products to make my card with a splattering a metallic gold Altenew Artistry Metallic Watercolors!
I created the card base using a piece of Concord & 9th Poppy cardstock which was added to a 4 14" x 5 1/2" card base.
I started off with stamping a die cutting images from Lawn Fawn's How You Bean? and the How You Bean Money Add-ons! I set those aside after colouring with Copic Markers:
Glass Jar: BG000
Paper Bills: YG11, YG13, YG17
Coins: Y13, Y15, Y17
The top sentiment was created using the Lawn Fawn Henry's ABC's Spring Sentiments. It was white heat embossed on yellow cardstock. I cut it with a sentiment strip die and added it to the top left of the cardbase. Red and gold symbolize good fortune, joy, wealth and prosperity for the Chinese New Year!
Happy New Year was black heat embossed directly to the card base using Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossing powder. I attached the jar of money and all the bills and coins to the card base.
I covered the bottom black embossed sentiment with a small piece of post it tape then I splattered some yellow gold from the Altenew Metallic Watercolor pan over the card base. Finally I added the top sentiment and the little snake from Lawn Fawn's Critters In The Desert stamp set.
I hope that you can find time to join us this month for your chance to win!
