Color Hues #100th Challenge

Hi crafty friends! Welcome to the Color Hues Color Challenge's 100th Challenge! We are so excited to reach this milestone and if you pop oer to the Color Hues blog at the end of this post you can learn about the special giveaway this month for our big #100!

The challenge is running for the month of December, you have until December 29th to play along.

Our fearless leader Nancy choose the colors of Blue and Purple. I decided to make a snow flurry using Catherine Pooler's Swirling Snow background stamp, some Distress Oxide Inks and a Giant Let It Snow word LawnCut from Lawn Fawn.

I used Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet Distress Oxides Inks over the white heat embossed Swirling Snow background. I splattered some mettalic white gold watercolour over the panel and then a little splatter of yellow gold watercolour.

The Lawn Fawn Giant Let It Snow LawnCut was cut from Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust cardstock. I cut two more layers with white heavyweight cardstock and glued all the layers together before I glued it to the card front!

If you haven't already visited the Color Hues Color Challenge Blog I hope you stop by and see what my fabulous teammates have created for the challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you create!

This is a beautiful blended background, Tracey! I love how you left the glow in the center and the swirling snow!

Your card gave me the chills, Tracey. lol It does look like a snowstorm and that's the only kind I like - on paper.

Love the beautiful blue background, Tracey! You can keep the snow up north, though, lol! I’m sure you had enough for now! I really did enjoy looking at your snow photos, very pretty! Take care and happy holidays!!

As I said on Instagram, you had real life inspiration for this card! The swirling snow background adds a real sense of movement, and your ink blending is wonderful. Love that glittery sentiment!

What a fun card, Tracey! The swirls sure capture the look of wind and snow blowing through the air. Love how the large sentiment finishes off the card and makes it so festive! Take care in all that snow you've been getting and I hope you have a wonderful time during the holidays!
