Color Hues #60

Hi there friends, thanks so much for popping in. It has been a busy few weeks with too many days that I didn't even have time or energy to go into my craft room. I know crazy, right?

We have a new color duo over at the the Color Hues Color Challenge for Challenge #60! Design team member Marcia chose our new colours so let me introduce you to Blue and Turquoise!

One of my favourite co-ordinating sets of all time is PinkFresh Butterflies. I have the stamps, dies and stencils with the hot foil plate on my wishlist. I stamped and black heat embossed the butterflies, then I used Catherine Pooler inks in Dress Blues and Fiesta Blue along with the stencils for my card.

The sentiment is from a now retired set from MFT Stamps called Handwritten Happiness. Any type of sentiment from your favourites could be used with a butterfly.

The heat embossing makes the stenciling so much easier.

The areas where the blue meets the turquoise makes the loveliest hue of the two colours combined.

I added foam tape behind the panel and behind the butterfly for a bit of dimension.

I have a bit of both here, a beautiful blue butterfly and a sure sign of spring.

Please pop over to the Color Hues Color Challenge to see what the rest of the team has made, you will not be disappointed! Happy hopping!

This beauty in ANY COLOR is a favorite of mine, too, Tracey! He is very handsome in Marcia's chosen colors - I had quite a day with his group of little cousins yesterday - I may have to keep them out a wee bit longer - wink!

Tracey, it's another stunning CAS card! Couldn't love it more. I have a pretty huge collection of Pinkfresh stamps, but not this fabulous butterfly. One more for the wish list.

Your blue butterfly reminds me of hot summer days trying to spot them on the bank behind the house! :)

Not sure if my first comment went through but in case it didn't I'll repeat myself. Tour blue butterfly reminds me of hot summer days, trying to spot similar ones on the bank behind the house! :)

You and Karen are my idols for CAS cards! It seems as though that sentiment, with its flourished script, was just made to go with this butterfly! Utterly gorgeous Tracey!

Each time I see you use this butterfly, magic happens. It's as though this set was made for you. Your showcase here is absolutely gorgeous! Wish I could get mine to stamp as crisply and clearly as yours (no foiling for me, just ink). If it did, I'd use mine more often for sure. LOVE your card!
