Color Hues #42

Hi there, it's time for a new colour duo at the Color Hues Color Challenge #42!

This challenge we are using black and yellow and I immediately thought of bumble bees! I stamped and die cut some cute little bees from Studio Katia's Honey Bees stamp set. I love mixing and matching products from different companies and I don't do it often enough--it's so fun! I used products from Studio Katia, Lawn Fawn and Waffle Flower. My supply list is at the bottom of the post!

Most times when I make a card I have a plan and often the plan takes a few twists ad turns along the way. I blended a mini slimline panel using Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink but decided not to use it on my first card. When I was done with card one I decided to make a second card using all my leftover pieces. I sprayed a honeycomb stencil over the panel with Avery Elle Clear Shimmer Spray. It's hard to see in the photo but it adds just a subtle colour change.

I can't wait to see what you do this challenge!.
Thanks for stopping in today!

I love it when you end up with two-for-one! The gingham is great behind those cute little bees, and I can see a tiny bit of the shimmer stencil on the second card. Both are cute as can bee!

Love both of these cards, Tracey! Awesome job with the colors and so glad there were a couple of cards in the line-up using bees. I don’t own any bee stamps that are this cute, mine are more realistic. Great coloring and greetings! Have a great rest of your week.

Your bees are so much fun, we have solitary bees buzzing around our windows at the moment, they lay their eggs in the gaps. Well, my OH did block up the natural gaps when he pointed the wall! :)

These are both wonderful. So glad you could get a 2nd card out of your efforts. Your bees look so cute, and I have to remember that they could sting me if I am not careful.
