Ellen Hutson April Pin-Sights Challenge

tracey_EHAprilPin-Sights-cover

A card for the April Pin-Sights Challenge at Ellen Hutson!
The inspiration for this month's challenge is the gorgeous Pantone Drama Queen Color Palette.

I stamped and silver embossed the Mondo Peony on Yupo paper and coloured it with alcohol inks. It took me a couple of tries to get the inks blended the way I wanted but they are so much fun to play with. I moved the colour around with Alcohol blending solution, a straw and a cheap craft paintbrush. I used alcohol inks for my card because that is what I saw in the photo and the peony seemed the right flower to represent the succulents.

My Little Chickadee - April 2018

Time is just rolling along, it's the last day of the month and time for a new kit at The 12 Kits of Occasions! Lisa Elton is our hostess this month and she sent a kit full of beautiful springtime papers, stamped images and die cuts. My cards basically made themselves this month. Thank you Lisa for putting such a delightful assortment together for us.

Spring I think has finally found us, the snow has pretty much melted and my hubby is out doing spring cleaning in the yard. The daffodils are coming up but I really hope that they are not stunted from the surprise snow we had a couple weekends ago. Brooklyn home after finishing year 3 and since she has been home we finally watched The Greatest Showman twice, (we waited because we couldn't see it in the theatre together), we watched some other favourite movies--La La Land and Dear John once again and both of us did a long overdo closet purge. I realize how much I really miss my girl when she is away at school.

On to what you came for...

This first card has one of my favourite sentiment stamps of all time on it. I have been humming away all weekend!

tracey_SFYTT#59-cover

This is a totally last minute card for the final Reverse Confetti Sketch For You To Try!
I couldn`t let the deadline pass without creating one last card for the sketch.
I used non traditional papers from the Reverse Confetti Fright Night paper pack along with the Stamped Note Confetti Cut and a butterfly from Butterfly Dreams.

Freshly Made Sketches #334 Guest Design

tracey_FMS#334cover

I am back again for my final guest design post as the April Guest Designer Freshly Made Sketches

Today we are introducing sketch #334 designed by Amy O'Neill.

It was just the right sketch to use the new to me wish die-namics from MFT Stamps! A simple card to pull off with the help of an old school ruler! To comfortably fit the die on my full width white top panel I need to make the height of it 2". To centre the die I found the centre point and then the centre point of the die, I matched those two points. Once again I doubled checked that there was the same distance on both the left and right, secured it with a piece of post it tape, then cut. The rainbow back panel was cut 2.5" x4.5", get out the ruler again and found my centre point for the width. The rainbow panel was adhered directly to the card base. The top wish panel was adhered with foam tape and done!

I would like to thank the awesome designers on the team for making me feel so welome this month.

Freshly Made Sketches #333 Guest Design

tracey_FMS#333cover

I am back again for another guest design post for Sketch #333 at Freshly Made Sketches!

I am using the newly released Stitching Garden from Papertrey Ink for my card this week. This set was gifted to me by my friend Joyce when she came to stay with me last week all the way from California. I stamped the beautiful blooms and leaves using Altenew inks. I was so happy with the way the layers lined up so easily when I was stamping.
