Color Throwdown #454 and The Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge

IMG_3069

A very last minute entry for the Color Throwdown #454 and not so last minute for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge Herb Garden. I was away this past weekend at the cottage for our annual family reunion barbeque. Why a reunion every year? Probably the norm for so many of you. Families grow, children grow up and life gets busy.

I am 1 of 5 children, add in spouses, 14 grand children and 10 great grand children and along with my parents we are 31. We all live in the greater Toronto area and yet if we don't do this a year flies by and we haven't gotten together. It is so nice to see everyone and catch up.

So today I am trying to get back into routine but I really wanted to play along with both challenges. I had this card in back of my mind all week. I love the serene colours at the Color Throwdown and I was inspired by foliage at the Curtain Call.

I splattered some green ink onto a kraft panel, stamped and white embossed my sentiment and finally added some white and green die cut leaves. Clean and simple.

I am also submitting this to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Splatter It!

This is a lovely sympathy card Tracey, so peaceful. Sounds like a wonderful family weekend! Yes, life does get busy and it's hard to make time for the whole gang to be together. But when it happens, it's fantastic!

Fabulous take on all of three challenges, Tracey!!! Love the font of the sentiment and the way the white embossing pops against the kraft panel!! And those dies are fantastic! Sounds like you had a fun weekend with family! That's so great to hear!! Hugs, my friend!

wonderful sympathy card tracey, I generally prefer them to be botanical for some reason.

Lovely CAS card, Tracey, and perfect for a sympathy card. Yay to family reunions. We're having an impromptu one this week as one of my brother's came back for his class reunion and my other brother decided to come visit at the same time. My sister was already here so four of the six of us will be together for almost a week.

Such a lovely sympathy card, Tracey! Clever idea to use green and white for your leaves...I think they work really well against the splattered Kraft panel!
Happy to hear that you enjoyed your family reunion...it's such a nice tradition :)
