Retrosketches #178

Time for a new sketch at RetroSketches!

It has been almost two months since I posted for RetroSketches so I thought it was a good time to jump back in.

I thought that now that I have 'sort of' set up my craft room that creating once again would be like riding a bike--not so much. I was able to get a good start on my recycling for next week's pick up though.  I finally settled on my MFT Tickled Pink stamps and dies that I bought two months ago and have been packed away. I sponged some Persimmon Distress Ink onto white cardstock to try to achieve the ombre shades of a flamingo and then I die cut my bird from that.  My layers are all white and I popped the top panel and Flamingo wings up with some foam tape.

I hope that I see you play along this week.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I am glad that you are finally getting there with your craft room. I think my biggest nightmare would be moving. Packing my craft room would be stressful but unpacking? Oh boy!!

I love this pretty card. The ombre pink looks fabulous on those adorable flamingoes. I like just the plain white background too. It makes the birds POP. Really pretty card.

Tracey i love this pretty flamingo card! A beautiful sentiment!
And I can identify with the creating not coming as easily too. Seems like I struggle with that any time I take a break for a while...it takes a bit for my mojo to get up to speed again. A lot of cards or parts of cards end up hitting the circular file! Lol!

Tracey *waving wildly* Two kazillion apologies for falling so far behind in commenting, but I know you understand, given that we both had crazy-busy summers! I'm in need of some 'cheering up' today and the perfect prescription for doing so: a Tracey only gallery walk! My messages will likely be short and repetitive (prepare for a whole lot of 'stunning, gorgeous, awesome' *grin*), but filled with love, nonetheless!
Your flamingo couple...so pretty! And that sentiment, so powerful!
