MM #142 and FMS #170

IMG_7347

Another Christmas card for 2015!

The theme at Merry Monday this week is to create a card with houses on it. The perfect excuse to pull out my Simon Says Stamps Village dies. I have been on a bit of a white or white kick lately, I love the fresh clean feel. I used the newest sketch from Freshley Made Sketches loosely for my design. I added snow using the Simon Says snowflake stencil and embossing paste after I had the snowbanks in place. I would not recommend doing it that way, a bit tricky. The trees were coloured with Copics.

I am also submitting this to the Simon Says Stamps Flickr Group Challenge Spots n Dots.

The moment I first visited Darnell's blog I noticed that she would welcome her new followers! I always thought it was such a nice gesture and I have found many new blogs through Darnell. Lately I have been getting some new followers and I wonder if I should be doing the same. It is always a rush to see that someone is interested enough in what you are creating to join you so they can see more.  Usually I go and visit the blogs of my new followers and often end up following them back. What do you do when you get a new follower?

Although I don't think I could ever be as thorough as Darnell in greeting guests, she is amazing! I do think I can start welcoming  my new followers, especially when I see how far some of them have traveled.

This week welcome...

Have a great day!

Your card is super cute. I love the fun scene. I also welcome my new followers. I started a few months ago doing that. Can't remember why. Maybe it was Darnell? Anyways I think it's fun to do.

I just love your falling snow and house scene. I think I have those dies coming my way, but can't remember if they ended up inside or outside of my latest cart. I'm also loving your white on white look. It makes the green that much more striking. If I could figure out how to know who my followers were and when they were new, I'd want to welcome them as well.

White on white deliciousness, Tracey ... the pop of colour is wonderful! I too was inspired by Darnell to welcome followers with a visit, shout out and usually a follow on Feedly ... I'm a bit behind though at the moment (story of my life!!). Anita :)

A stunning, crisp wintry wonderland, punctuated with the sweet green trees and the houses that evoke a sense of a warm, welcoming neightbourhood. I'd like to move into the one on the top left, and I'll claim the third floor as my crafting space! Acknowledging your new followers - only more evidence of what a sweetheart you are!
