The 12 Kits of Occasions - March '14

It's time for the 12 Kits of Occasions March Kit reveal!
Kelly was our hostess this month with a gorgeous kit of goodies for Easter and spring!

I created 5 cards with Kelly's kit but I have so much more left to create with. I can't wait to see what the rest of the team has done so I can get some ideas to CASE.  For my first card I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #70 for my design.

I used RetroSketches #108 for this next card.

Finally all lined up on my window sill.

Pop on over to The 12 Kits of Occasions blog so that you can go around and see what the rest of the team has done with this kit!  When you head over there we would love to hear what you think of our new blog design.

All the supplies are listed on The 12 Kits of Occasions blog under the new tab Monthly Kit Supplies 2014 HERE!

Sound fun?

I used the faux layered die cuts technique that I picked up from the recent Clean & Simple Card Making 3 class to create a one layer panel with inlaid die cuts. The sentiment was embossed over the cuts.

Here is a list of all of the Girl Fridays, be sure to drop in and see their fabulous inspiration!

Reverse Confetti March Color Challenge

I can't get spring out of my head, this has been by far the longest and coldest winter I can ever remember. Winter is the toughest season for me and really it can't get warm fast enough.  So playing with this spring colour palette from Reverse Confetti was a chance for me to imagine spring.

I thought that the patterned paper I chose was a perfect match to the top of the dress in the inspiration photo.

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop - March '14

A card for this month's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

The theme this month was to add high gloss to your creations.  So I pulled out Sketched Scribbles and created a card base with some spring colours and then I die cut Wonderful Words Hello 5 times to create a dimensional accent.  The first four in white and the top hello is orange foil.

Here is a close up of the hello die cut.

Happy hopping!
