CCC #25 - NEW


Happy New Year!
Welcome to the first challenge of 2013 at CASology!

We have some exciting new changes this year at CSAology, we are welcoming three new members to our existing Design Team.

Joining us are:

Our first Cue Card of the year is:








After I made this first version of my card I added a little more, but after I did I felt the card had lost what I feel is CAS style.  Even though I only added one more layer, which is very acceptable in a CAS card, the added layer along with the patterned paper and the bling ends up a bit cluttered.  I really liked how my 'extended' version of the card turned out so I decided to share it in this post.

    They're both fabulous...
    but I think the extra layer is still perfectly CAS! :)
    I'm going to try some of these this year...
    now that I'm a full time at HOME mom...

    Beautiful card, Tracey! Agree that the second card is not as CAS, but still very pretty. So glad you shared both versions. Love to see the "behind the scenes" stuff : ) I often struggle with liking more things on a card but end up leaving them off in the final version. A very happy New Year to you and your family, Tracey!!

    Love them both ....I think the second one is still CAS with just a bit more. I love the second one. But you are the Queen of CAS so I trust you know best. Hope you feel a bit better.

    I'm so glad I follow you on Pinterest. I would be pinning every card anyway. This needs to be marked by you RIGHT NOW as one of your favorites for 2013! (I sure am bossy.) Both versions are precious beyond words and will be a favorite to CASE by card artists forever!!

    Super sweet baby girl cards ~ IMHO I still think version # 2 would qualify as CAS. The scalloped layer adds so much!
