Make It Monday #41: Essential Glue Pad Tips

This weeks Make it Monday featured using a glue pad to easily add glitter, shine and flocking to stamped images using a glue pad.  Finally a reason to break open the package and give it a go.  The pad was surprisingly easy to use, but I ran into some difficulty when trying to glue on to an acrylic surface (my first attempt).  I ran into issues with static--so mental note to self, prep the surface first.  Sond attempt I created a cute little Christmas tag using flock on the snowflake which I think really makes it realistic.  Hope you enjoy my project.

All Supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted:

Cardstock: Kraft, Blueberry Sky
Clear Stamps: Peace Be Still
Dies: Tag Sale #3, Limitless Layers
Ink: Fresh Snow (PTI), Black (Memento)
Other:  The Essential Glue Pad (Tsukineko), white flock (Doodlebug)

What a great tag with the flocking. I have to admit, I have a flocked snowflake in my trash--could not get it to turn out--so I am particularly impressed with yours.

I love how soft the flocking makes the snowflake look and you cut out the middle of the limitless layers, that is a great idea. Your tag is beautiful!

So beautiful, Tracey! You did a great job with the flocking. I am not getting such good results with my glue pad so I have not entered this challenge. Catch you on the next one!

Hi Tracey, thank you for visiting my blog today. I love your tag - I have not tried this technique. It's beautiful and beautifully done.

To answer your question...I use Close To My Heart inks. I used holiday red, blush, olive, citrus leaf, garden green, hydrangea, amethyst, crystal blue, ocean, and grey flannel. Thanks for asking. I usually try to list my ingredients, but I've been lazy. Hope you had a wonderful day!!
