MFW Card Creations Week: The Washi Tape Challenge

I am so excited for Card Creations 11 to be available next week.  That and Holiday Cards & More are my two favourite issues of the year.  Moxie Fab World is hosting Card Creations Week this week and the challenges are going up on the blog.  

The first challenge is the Washi Tape Challenge.  I realized that even though I have a box full of washi tape, I have a lot of dots and diagonals, so I believe I need to do some more shopping.  For my card I adhered 3 different patterns of washi tape to a piece of cardstock and then I die cut my bunny and mini bow from it.  I finished off the bunny with a pom pom tail.

My new Polka Dot Parade bunny stamp set and die arrived on Monday just in time to create a card for this week's inspiration.

Adding a dimensional element to a CAS card gives the card some interest, plus it is darn cute!

Merry Monday Featured Guest Designer & Challenge #52

I was so excited when the sweet and talented Lesley Croghan contacted me and asked me if I would like to be the Featured Designer at Merry Monday for the month of March!  Merry Monday is a weekly card challenge to make, you guessed it, Christmas cards all year long.  A fantastic idea because every single year I get caught at the last minute racing to get my cards done on top of everything else.  I am also submitting this to Simon Says Stamps Anything Goes. 

This week is a colour challenge. Are they not the perfect colours for a Christmas card?

I made a cute Easter card this week for the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog.

Popping with a card for this week's Merry Monday Challenge.  I am getting into the groove with Christmas cards for next year. This week's theme is Tic Tac Toe, your card need to include elements from the Tic Tac Toe board either across, diagonal or up and down.  I chose across the top row--red, dry embossing and ribbon.  I am also submitting this to Simon Says Stamps Anything Goes.

So glad that the weekend is here.

I have a card to share for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge which is 'wallpaper'.  Create a clean and simple project where we have stamped our own background.  I pulled  out my Impression Obsession chevrons again, I just love this stamp. It stamps beautifully using the technique taught in On-line Card Classes Clean & Simple Card Making 2.  Stamped the background, then the sentiment, threw on some washi tape and done! I am also submitting this to Simon Says Stamps Anything Goes.

My daughter is going away this weekend to Niagara Falls with some friends for her girlfriends sweet 16, with her family of course.  Niagara Falls is only 2 hours from where we live and on the Canadian side.  She packaged up her gift in a kraft bag adored with Laurie Willison's, of Soapbox Creations, card hanger.  Simply adorable.
