RIC #62

A card for Runway Inspired Challenge #62!
Isn't this a gorgeous dress? I wish I was tall enough to pull this one off.

Inspired by the navy blue and pops of white I used a flourish to try and create movement from bottom right to top left as it is on the dress.

Runway Inspired Challenge #60

Happy Saturday!

After a week of not feeling like doing anything, not even to get crafty I woke Friday morning ready to give my mojo a jump start. Playing along with the current Runway inspired Challenge I created this card.  I picked up on the colours making yellow my focal point.  I also made a note to myself that I need to get an origami stamp set! On a grey card base I created a frame using Hawaiian Shores patterned paper, stamped the inside of the frame with some graphic lines using pink and topped it with a bright yellow Happy Birthday die cut. Of course I had to finish it off with a few grey sequins!

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend, the weather forecast looks great here.
Just 4 more sleeps until hubby comes home!

Runway Inspired Challenge #59

In right on the wire with my card for the Runway Inspired Challenge!

I was inspired by the triangular neckline on this gorgeous dress, so I went to work with my Altenew Sohcahtoa stamps creating a pattern of green with a few pops of black.

Runway Inspired Challenge #58 and CAS(E) this Sketch #73

IMG_4441

I have a card to share today for two challenges, Runway Inspired Challenge and CAS(E) this Sketch.  This is my first time playing along with the Runway Inspired Challenge. I have to admit that this challenge has always intimidated me.  I told Virginia Lu that last year when I met her and she said "what do you have to lose"?  Well here we are almost a year later and now I am being brave!  LOL

I was so inspired by the colours in the runway look. I love the black against the vibrant orange and red. I started by cutting a large circle and then stamping the argyle pattern on it with VersaFine Onyx Black.  I die cut the butterfly from a piece of white cardstock that I had inked with Distress Inks. I added the butterfly trail and popped up the butterfly.
