MFT Stamps Camp Create 2019 - Spectacular Shakers

Happy Monday! I know most people dread Monday morning but sometimes it is nice to think of Monday as a fresh start to a new week. On Saturday I went on a road trip with a few of my Toronto crafty friends--Ardyth Percy-Robb, Karen Boyce, Tasha Kara and Jessica McAfee to cross the border to Buffalo and attend a stamp class being taught by another one of our friends Stephanie Klauck! An extremely hot day but we had such a great time and we made some cute cards too, slow me needs to finish up a bit of colouring so I can post them!

I am back today earning another badge for MFT Stamps Camp Create 2019!

For today's card I created a shaker using the Heart Shaker Trio Window and Heart Shaker Trio Pouches along with the new Over the Rainbow paper pack! I used a sentiment from the new Bitty Birthday Wishes to finish off my clean and simple card! All the products that I used are linked below.

MFT Stamps Camp Create 2019 - Remarkable Resist

I am back again earning another badge for MFT Stamps Camp Create 2019!

For Day 2 I used an older rubber backed stamp for my resist card, I used the beautiful Etched Flower Background. I stamped and embossed it with white embossing powder and then blended my new favourite Distress Oxide colour combination of Scattered Straw, Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries! My sentiment was cut twice from white cardstock and once from golf sparkle cardstock. The three layers were glued together, this is something I struggle with getting stacked die cuts lined up properly!

MFT Stamps Camp Create 2019 - Wonderful Watercolours

Happy Summer,
Excited to be participating in MFT Stamps Camp Create 2019!

I am now 6 week post-op and I am back in my craft room again!
I am feeling good and relatively pain free for the first time in two years. It is going to be some time before I have full range of motion again and I am still on orders to take it easy--no stretching, trying not to use my right arm and NO lifting! Every day is better and I should be starting physio in another week.

Anyway on to earning my first badge for Day 1 Wonderful Watercolour!

I was so inspired by Stephanie's video using the Daniel Smith Color Burst powders that I decided it was time for me to break open a set I have had a long time. One thing had forgotten about the powders is how highly pigmented they are--a little goes a long long way! So I created a rainbow on Watercolour paper and it was beautiful but if you know me it was a big too bold! So once it was dry I selectively stamped a bunch of fishes from the BB Gill Friends on to my warcoloured panel to create my tropical fish which I fussy cut.  I used Distress Oxide inks to create an ocean background then I created the sand bottom using the clothes line die from the Bundle of Baby Clothes die-namics! Finally the fish were added to create the scene! Great masculine birthday card or great for little kids too!
