Inspired by All the Little Things #17

IMG_0188

Better late than never. I have my DT card today for Inspired by All the Little Things #17. The post went live on Saturday but I wasn't able to post my card. It has been a rough week, as much as I can't wait for the warmer weather to return each spring along with it comes migraine season for me. The humidity and barometric pressure has been playing ping pong with me all week. A nasty migraine that has also brought on an upset stomach and muscle spasms in my neck that shoot right up to my eye. So now that I have painted a very unpleasant picture I have my card for this week that I selected for the challenge.

I focused in on the colour scheme, the lilac and the tea cup. I die cut and stamped my tea cup using  Bo Bunny's Secret Garden Arbor paper, stamped and embossed the flourish to come out of the cup like steam and then I used my new Magenta Nuance Water Colour Powders to paint and splatter the purple over the background.

I am also submitting this to this week's Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes

Hope that you can come over and play with us this week.
Wishing all my American friends a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

Oh Tracey, I'm so sorry you've been having such a rough time. :( Migraines are so hellish and I hate how much time they steal from us. I hope you're doing better now and they give you a break.
As for your card - I LOVE this! The flourish steam is so cool and that Bo Bunny paper is gorgeous! If you weren't on the DT this would be the winner! :D

Oh Honeygirl! I can so relate to what the weather has been doing to you!! See if your insurance covers this newer med: Cambia. 20 minutes and relief starts. Seriously. My insurance doesn't cover it (I got some samples), but will jump some hoops to try and get them to do so. Here's hoping all those darn things are through for a while!!! Your card is brilliant! How clever to do the steam like that and that flowered cup is beautiful. A beautiful birthday card. Thinking of you my friend...Bev

I'm so sorry the strange weather has brought on such horrid migraines, Tracey ... do hope by now you've found some relief and are feeling much better! Your card is beautiful ... the paper pieced cup would be right at home on any high tea table ... the 'steam' rising from it is spectacular! Hugs, Anita :)

Yep, it's been a fun week for the migraine-sensitive. Hope you're past the worst of it.
So, I introduce you and Ardyth to wc powders, and both the students have eclipsed the demonstrator. :D Love this card!

But you made a gorgeous card for this challenge, and I LOVE the idea of the steam coming up from the teacup! Sounds like some nice, hot tea might help you! Big hugs, and thanks for the inspiration!
