June 1, 2015

Good Monday Morning

The excitement of the weekend is over and so begins another week--and it's the 1st of June!

I am getting over the fact that all of the prom photos I took with my camera were overexposed and not as crisp as I would like because I did not double check my settings in the flurry of activity!

This summer is going to be crazy for me. We are putting our house up for sale, finding and buying a new house in a new town, a complete change in all of my medication that has begun with taking me off everything to detox my system and now to introduce a brand new cocktail. Oh, did I mention that hubby has not been home in 5 weeks! He will be home by the end of this week but the schedule is tight because we are listing hopefully next week, House shopping when he is away? Challenging, but with the power of the Internet and cell phones we are managing.

All that being said, I am going to take a bit of a break. Lack of design focus when my mind is going a hundred different directions and it is finally time I get serious about physiotherapy for my rotator cuff tendinitis. I am spending far too much time in pain. Which is why I am not leaving as many comments as I used to on all of your amazing blogs. So I am not gone just stepping back for a bit.

I had so many qestions about my daughter's prom hair, so here is the process..

I wanted to share this photo that my son took of his girlfriend on Sunday evening. He took it from his bike while he was riding along with her for a 20 km (12 mile) run. When I first saw it I really thought it was a Nike ad.

Take care of yourself Tracey. You definitely have your priorities in the right spot. And I would totally do the same thing with my camera. Uggh! The pictures looked beautiful to me though. What an incredible picture your son took!

You definitely have your dance card full, Tracey, and it's a good idea to take time for yourself every once in a while. I wish you luck with your house sale & hunt - are you staying within Durham? This area continues to grow SO much! I'm sure everything will work out health-wise too - I'll put in a good word ;-)

Just wanted to pop along and wish you all the very best in your hectic life, and also with your health, with 3 auto-immune conditions, I have learnt along the way to have to look after my health, it's so important. God Bless you and your family in all that you do.

Can't be fun detoxing from the meds....but hopefully the new mix will more than compensate for it. Totally fabulous hair, Brooklyn ... which you need before a style like this is even possible.

So kick back, relax and take good care of yourself. We'll all be here and thinking of/praying for you. New meds can be hard, and especially so combined with stress. I know you'll find the perfect house for yourself. Rest that shoulder as much as you can too...comments can wait till you're feeling better and are settled. Take a deep breath, relax, relax, relax.... : )
Brooklyn's hair was amazing. I'm so glad you have photos of it. I'll bet she's still reliving that special night.
I'll be right here...Bev

We'll miss your lovely comments and wonderfully creative cards, but we'll have all that to look forward to when you're healthy and settled.

I'm so pleased to hear that you are putting your health as a priority in your busy life, Tracey! We all know that without it, well ... we all know. You do whatever you can to bring your body into balance and rest your injury. I am keeping you in my prayers and wishing you the best of luck with the sale and the move. That's a major life-stress all by itself, without everything else on your plate. Sending love and a huge fluffy warm hug!! Mwah! Darnell

Wishing you a wonderful summer and good luck with your house hunting. I can't even imagine all you go through but I am always in awe of what you are able to accomplish and achieve. Love all the photos you shared, Brooklyn's hair was a masterpiece in my opinion. And I have to agree with you about the photo Ben took, it really does look like an ad for Nike!

Take care of yourself Tracey! Thinking of you and hoping that, at the very least, those meds do what they're supposed to and the physio relieves the pain. Soon. Your daughter looks gorgeous and I am so envious of her beautiful hair! Good luck with the house!! As for the pic your son took, I didn't realise that it wasn't an ad until I read comments others have written! Wow! Talent abounds in your family! Take care!

Tracey, you know you'll be missed, but taking time to deal with all the 'newness' coming your way is exponentially important! As always, your ability to 'rise above' challenges is an inspiration! Wishing you all the best; looking forward to seeing you once you're relocated, rested, relaxed and rejuvenated! Mega hugs coming your way!
