CCC #137 & Lawnscaping Challenge No. 101

IMG_7587

Happy Tuesday and time for another new Cue Card at CASology!
This week the cue word is:

To begin with I created a soft sky with some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I used Lawn Fawn's Life Is Good Then I stamped my sand hill and sentiment followed by adding some Vintage Linen Distress stamp set today.  Ink for the sand. The trees and hammock were stamped, coloured, die cut and then adhered to finish the scene.

By the Way it is Lawn Fawn's 5th birthday today--so sending a big Happy Birthday to Lawn Fawn!

This week things are buzzing at home as we are getting my daughter packed and ready to head to Europe this Friday! She leaves Friday evening for a 10 day trip with her school, during our March Break.  Flying into Rome and spending the first 4 1/2 days touring there, leaving from Pompeii on an overnight ferry to Greece, spending the next four days touring Greece and departing from Athens to home on the final day. Envious yes, and before you ask no parent chaperones, but one teacher for every 6 students. I can live with that and no sleep for 10 days!

You'll be fine, and so will Brooklyn - so looking forward to hearing some stories! I sent both Natalie, and Stacey, on a choir tour with their high school - I did worry, but was so thrilled for that opportunity for them both. Love the card - need to jump into it!

I want to be in THAT hammock!! Cute card Tracey! Your baby girl will be just fine. I know it's senseless to say don't worry...but prayer will help you through it!!

I would love to have that hammock in my backyard, but I would also like to live where I had those palm trees in my backyard too! Such a cute scene! I'm so excited for your daughter! My grandma was a Latin teacher and took her students to Italy and Greece every other year. She always had students come up to her years later thanking her for that amazing experience!

Super cute Tracey!! Thanks so much for coming by, cheering me up today as I have that dreaded stomach buggy..also it took 4 hours for my DH to get the internet up..miserable and miserable, LOL...but your great creations are so cheering me up!!!!

Also love your Virginia View card too! Sometimes it is good to get out of your comfort zone. I have been trying this as well.

Your hammock and palm trees scene has me craving a tropical travel destination! Ultra sweet! What an exciting adventure for your daughter; she'll have an excellent - and safe - time! I went on a trip like this years ago - as a teacher chaperone - to Spain. Everything worked out wonderfully and I know your daughter's will, too. Excited to hear stories as she shares them with you!

Tracey, your hammock looks like a very inviting tropical smile! Love this stamp set!! Love your VV card too!! I have made so few cards recently. Looking forward to a break in proceedings. Looking at the pics of your daughter and friends travelling abroad made my stomach twinge a little too. 😉That will undoubtedly be in my future when my boys are old enough. What an amazing adventure for her! Big hugs for you too while she's living and learning away from home! Xx
