Winnie and Walter 1st Birthday Bash - Sketch with Joni

IMG_7397

I am playing along with Joni Andaya her sketch for the Winnie & Walter Birthday Bash today.

I love the flowers on The Big, The Bold and The Extra stamp set. I started by stamping my flowers and sentiment on a 4" x 5 1/4" panel.   Then I die cut a circle and removed it temporarily. I adhered the panel to the base and then put the circle back in with foam tape. Finally I fussy cut and added the pink flower. This card is going out to my nephew and his beautiful fiance .

My son is studying architecture at a University that is in the near north, like really in the north where it is really cold. This week his class went on an excursion to an ecology centre in Mattawa which is near North Bay (cold). I thought I would share some photos,

Apparently they are boiling water over a fire???? I assume there is some education benefit to this.

Beautiful card! Lovely take on the sketch. Love how you have the circle popping out withe flowers. Perfect engagement card!
Your son sure looks cold in the pic! Is it Ontario?? If so that's where I am and do not envy him being outside in this crazy cold!

Love your card and your poor son he looks cold I hope he got to warm up. I cannot imagine the temps you all live in coming from Sunny Queensland where we are feeling the heat this summer!

lol! I'm sure there's an educational benefit too, but I wouldn't want to be in that class...love the card and how it's popped up.

Lovely card, wonderful circle die cut... poor Ben. Oh they're having so much fun, probably oblivious of the cold no doubt!

Gorgeous, Tracey! The popped up flowers married with their 'panel' companions is so eye-catching! Yes, your son looks very cold! As for boiling water over the fire...hmmm. Given how cold it appears to be, I think they need a massive fire to cozy up to!
