Reverse Confetti Sketch For You to Try

IMG_7306

A card for the Reverse Confetti Sketch for You To Try #20.

I had this card ready yesterday but a funny chain of events happened.  Monday night I told my daughter to take the car to school Tuesday, I had nothing going on and it was going to be -20 C. I slept in (needed) and got up when she left, I was having my coffee and a very lazy morning when a friend called. We were trying to figure out an evening we could meet for dinner. It is 11:20 now, so I walked over tot he fridge where I have the family calendar and there was definitely something written in BIG letters right in the middle of the month right on January 13th!  TRACEY Lakeridge Health MRI 11:30. I can't tell you what I actually said but I started heading upstairs thinking I could get dressed quickly be out the door by 11:30. I looked out the front door and remembered that Brooklyn took the car!! I definitely can't tell you what I said this time! So I called the hospital and let them know I was coming but would be about 20 minutes late, called Brooklyn at school (she was on her lunch break) and said you need to get home.  She came home, I drove her back to school, continued on to the hospital, parked and got to the MRI reception by 11:55.  Not bad and really lucky the hospital is very close. Of course I had to wait because I had technically missed my appointment, but I got there and got it done. When talking to my hubby later in the day he said I thought you weren't going to forget things now that you have the fancy striped planner! Lucky for him he wasn't in swatting range.  So that is my Tuesday story. All that racing around is really more than I am used to doing these days, so Wednesday is going to be a rest day.  I checked both my Erin Condren and the fridge calendar and told my daughter to take the car so that there is no reason to go out.

If you are still with me here is my card for the sketch:

Funny story, Tracey. I hope your MRI results are good. A day at home without a car hopefully means lots of napping and crafting time. Oh, and your card is fantastic. I love those bold bright colors.

Wowzers what a day you had LOL, so happy it worked out. Good thing school & the hospital are both close. I agree with LeAnne too, how many times do we hurry up for an appointment only to wait an eternity! CUTE Card, love the DP!

Great card, Tracey! We went back to the big calendar because of too many double bookings and trying to co-ordinate cars. Even with reminders on my phone, I don't hear them half the time. I'm glad it all worked out and you made the appt.

OH MY GOSH....I had to pick myself up off the floor in order to write this! That is just too darn funny. And all that happened with your fancy striped planner. I almost forget to make a challenge card and it too was written nice and neat is my fancy striped planner too. So funny, I am guessing we are just creatures of habit. Love your card so sweet and I love that fabulous slated die...it is in my cart as I type. Just love it!
