CCC #106

Time for a new Cue Card at CASology!

The cue for this week is:

The last 5 days have been a blur!

My hubby came in from Edmonton on Thursday and as usual when he is home it is all go. We fit in homemade spaghetti sauce by request, a full day out shopping with our daughter, dinner out just hubby and I, a trip to Muskoka to visit our son and have a fantastic lunch dockside at Turtle Jack's with his lovely girlfriend, visit and lunch out with my mother-in-law, hubby's cousin and Aunt on Sunday and a full day on Monday finally getting Ben's car towed home and put into our garage for decisions later--oh and a quick stop at Bizzy's B's in Toronto which ended up with Scribbly Birds stamps by Dina Wakley, more dies and more ink!

Glad to be back in my craft room again.

For my card I created my own rainbow with Copics using Reverse Confetti Count Your Rainbows and some Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine patterned paper down the left side.  Adding a strip of simple patterned paper adds interest to your design without overwhelming it!  The white panel is popped up with foam tape.

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this week!

1.  One main image--coloured sentiment
2.  Lots of open space
3.  Limited layers & embellishments
4.  Quick & easy to recreate

Head on over to CASology today to learn what the 'cue card' means to you, how you can play along and see the all the cards created by the Design Team to inspire you.

Good grief. You have made me tired just reading about your weekend. Yikes!! Love this card, and how you made your own rainbow coloring in those letters. I also really love that sentiment. You found the perfect strip of patterned paper to use on the side, and that is one of my favorite ways also to use patterned paper.

Busy, busy! I'm tired just reading about the past few days! And what a fantastically colorful card!

"Huh hah huh hah huh"...that's me, huffing and puffing just reading about how fast-past busy you've been! I wouldn't be able to keep up beyond shopping for the ingredients to make the spaghetti sauce, never mind any of the other activities! WOW! Then again, when you husband is home, every second, minute, hour and day needs to be relished - and it appears you've done so in fine style! Your visit to the craft store sounds mighty productive! As for your card; once again, you've elevated
simple to stunning! Such prettiness!
