FF #24 and MM #93

IMG_3688

I have a card to share for the current Festive Friday Challenge and the current Merry Monday Challenge. I knew that I was going to use an ornament for the Merry Monday challenge and when I saw the inspiration photo at Festive Friday I immediately knew I was going to use gold.  Not sure if it was going to work at all I embossed my ornament in mat gold on cream glitter cardstock.  It actually worked and it looks gorgeous IRL. I adhered the die cut to a rustic cream card base and added a few red sequins--done. I kept the design very CAS and the whole card was done in 10 minutes.

Have a great Sunday!

Depending on the weather in the morning we may be making the trek to Sudbury to take Ben for lunch and see his completed ice fishing hut! Before Christmas the architecture students, working in small groups, had to design ice fishing huts! As soon as they got back from Christmas break they had to actually make them and then next week they will be auctioning off their huts to the local community. {insert proud mama moment here}

Love that set Tracey - I always find the big ornament quite difficult to use on a card but it looks lovely here, especially with the sequins!

Absolutely beautiful, Tracy! I don't think there's much prettier than simple silver or gold against a cream/neutral! Love it, and delighted you've played along with us at Festive Friday!

I love that you used this very ornately patterned ornament (love these from WMS!) and paired it with a very CAS layout. It's stunning! Beautiful card, thanks for playing with FF Tracey!
