RS #47

A quiet week at home has been anything but. Two kids starting exams on Thursday and we are in the throws of completing University Applications for my son.  It is a balmy -18 Fahrenheit in Toronto tonight with the wind chill.  So to keep warm I found a moment to create a card for this week's RetroSketches challenge.  This week's sketch is based on a beautiful card made by Jen Mitchell.

All Supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted:

Cardstock:  Vintage Cream, Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise, Canyon Clay, Simply Chartreuse
Stamps: Funky Florals, Think Big Favorites #13
Ink:  Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise, Canyon Clay, True Black
Dies: Notched Flowers
other: foam tape

Your weather may be cold, but this card is all warmth and sunshine. Love the colors you chose, and those flowers look wonderful stamped. This is a very fun take on the sketch.

Wow!!! Another really fabulous card Tracey! I'm sorry it's so cold where you are but honestly, please keep that Arctic air mass back east...we are just not equipped for it out west here!

Yikes, you're cold there too....it's frigid here as well! But these hot colors are helping to warm me up! Love it!

LOVE this Tracey! The colors, the rounded bottom corner, and how you have one flower over "happy" and the other two over "birthday." So pleasing! And university applications?! Where does the time go?!

This is so fruity and cheery and perfect for the challenge, Tracey! Good luck to your son with the aps! I remember going through that with Dan and know it's stressful, and it's much harder these days. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

I feel like a broken record today - but this one is fantastic, too! I thought this looked like a tough sketch. But you make it look easy peasy puddin' pie! I really should get out that Funky Flower set and give it some attention....
