RS #39

Time for another RetroSketches card.  The sketch was based on THIS amazing card by Laurie Wilson.  I just love using kraft, white and red together for Christmas project so today's card features these colours.  Playing with saddle stitch ribbon is so much fun, I find it so easy to create a bow and it doesn't matter if the ribbon keeps flipping over.

All Supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted:

Cardstock:  Kraft
Patterned paper: ornaments (Very Merry Echo Park)
Stamps: Framed Out #9(PTI) Tiny Flakes (Hero Arts)
Ink:  Fresh Snow, True Black
Dies: Framed Out #9, Limitless Layers
other: foam tape, pure poppy saddle stitch ribbon

Lovely. Love the snowflakes on the kraft base, and how the ribbon just sets everything off! This is so pretty. Bev

I love this card, Tracey. That bow is just GORGEOUS, and I love the little DP Framed Out focal point. The snowflakes in the background are perfect. Very nice. ;-)

You did a great job of putting your own twist on this sketch, Tracey! I love how you used a circle instead, and that your little sparkles are in place of the music, it looks great stamped on kraft!

I had no idea this ribbon had a name ... thanks for the education (I love it too!) And thanks for letting me know about the dryer sheets. Somewhere this was buried deep in my brain from when I used to stamp 15 years ago and you totally uncovered it. I'm curious if that works better than the corn starch. Will have to test it out.

Love how you used the patterned paper with ornaments for this die ... looks like the wreath is decorated!
