When I went to photograph my card I noticed that the bird had smudges all over it! I decided rather than to try and remove the bird, that I would just stamp another bird and adhere it to the smudge. How do you fix your projects when something happens on the top layer?

Love the little bird image, Very pretty. Thanks for joining us at Dynamic Duos.
Your little mistake turned into a great focal point Tracey! I LOVE the dimension on your cute little bird! Great use of our colors this week. Thanks for playing along with us at Dynamic Duos!
What a fun card. I love the blue with the pink. Perfect for a surprise baby. I think you did a great job fixing your mistake. Layers are a girls best friend.
this is so cute- i love that little birdie! adorable
Adorable card, the popped up bird is great. I can't tell you how many times I have ended up with smudges on a card. Seems I am just too impatient or manage to pick up some stray ink on my desk! Nothing like getting smudges on what you thought was a finished project. Depending on where the smudges are....I tend to do the same, add another layer. If the smudges are small and are on a white panel...I will usually try to sand them off. Thanks for playing with us at Dynamic Duos!
Smudges are my worst enemy when I'm creating! :) I've done the layering thing! If the smudge is along the edge and not too dark of a color, sometimes I can get away with sponging the edges.
Love your adorable bird and the pretty frame!! What a perfect baby card!
Thanks for joining us at Dynamic Duos again this week!

oh, this is adorable!! a perfect card for an expectant couple. I'll have to check out that stamp set.
This is so cute! The soft colors are great with the sweet little bird!
Oh this is so sweet...love how you saved your smudge. I do it all the time...so I had to read through the tips as I am the queen of inky fingers smudging cards!
This is perfect for the parents-to-be! I try to pop it off and if that doesn't work, I drink. No, no, I do what you did here, if it's not too fussy cutting.
Love how you "fixed" it! I generally pop it off and restamp it, which is why my collection of scraps keeps growing. Sometimes that's a good thing and I can use it on another project and cover up the bad parts, or stamp a texture over it in the same ink. But I will keep your method in mind. Gives it good dimension! I have yet to find a good way to fix errant ink on a white base. If it's really small I'll dot over it with a white gel pen. Then it has a glare to it, but at least it's all the same color and not as noticeable if you don't look closely.
Gorgeous! So soft and delicate.
This is so pretty!
Pretty, Tracey. ;-) I love how you used these colors, with the scalloped square in the center - it's perfect. ;-)
Such a sweet card, Tracey!
This is so sweet!!! I usually take it off and restamp the image if it gets smudged. I rarely stamp directly on my project for fear of messing up. Because it happens quite often...the messing up part. :-)
Another set for the wish list! Love that the blue and pink cover boys and girls. When I smudge something I throw a fit. Then I try and erase which I know never works but I always try! LOL! Depends on how bad the smudge is as to how I fix it. Removing or layering are always the best options for me!
Oh how sweet! I love that birdie stamp, too!
