Anything goes with Embossing powders
Hi there and thank you for stopping by today for the SNS April Inspiration Hop!
I am hopping over on my Instagram for the hop order and comment on my Instagram for your chance to win a $50 gift card to the ScrapN' Stamp shop!
The theme this month is anything goes with embossing and we are featuring the new embossing powder set made by Hampton Arts! Although I am hopping on Instagram I wanted to share my process here.
I used all the colours in the embossing set to make three mini slimline thank you cards for the hop today.
I created three mini slimline card bases that are 6 1/4" x 3 1/4" using the Lawn Fawn Mini Slimline Stackables.
For the second card I cut the largest die from the mini slimline set . I applied embossing ink over the panel and one colour at a time and then heat seat to get a beautiful embossed background for my thanks sentiment.
I created a rainbow distress oxide ink blended background panel when I first started my projects. The word thanks was cut using the Jumbo Lingo Thanks shadow die and then I die cut the shadow once again using the embossed background panel.
To put all these pieces together I inlay the ink blended panel pieces into the embossed background. Other than a bit of foam tape between the cardbase and the embossed panel the card will lay nice and flat for mailing.
The final card was born from the embossed panel, the pieces from when I cut into the panel. I die cut three more white 'thanks' an glued them together and then glued the embossed letters on top!
The white embossed sentiment on black is from the Birch Press Design Lingo Thanks stamp set. The white embossed powder from this set melted beautifully!
