Color Hues #55

Happy New Year my friends!! Can you believe that it's 2023? When I set the date for posting I was shocked when I saw the numbers! Twenty three years ago we were worried that all the computers were going to fail because of Y2K! Now our worries are very different. After three years of the pandemic Covid paid a visit to our house over Christmas, first my daughter, then my husband and then me. Fortunately it wasn't terrible but not something I look forward to ever getting again.

Today at the Color Hues we are starting a new year of challenges and welcoming three very talented ladies to our Design Team. We begin the year with the Color Hues Color Challenge #55! Don't you just love light pink and gold together. I'm always excited for a chance to do some foiling, I got my FoilPress warmed up and got to work!

I ink blended Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink on to a panel of cardstock and let it dry. Next I hot foil stamped The Greetery's Deco Triangle on to the panel--swoon! I cut the rectangle, also from the Greetery, and then added champagne glasses from Pretty Pink Posh's Happy New Year, and a foiled Perfect sentiment from PinkFresh.

The foiled details are gorgeous!

A closer look!

I can't wait to see what you make using the new colours!

Lovely card, Tracey! Knock on wood, Covid has not touched the hubs and I yet. So sorry it came to your house for Christmas. Hope you're all on the mend. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you and James, Tracey! Sounds like you had a rotten Christmas although knowing you were surrounded by your immediate family had to make having Covid a tad better…at least you were all together. I am so very sorry! It’s time for 2022 to hit the road. I hope 2023 is better for both of us. As for your wonderful card….I love it so very much! All the foiling looks terrific, especially on pink! Awesome job! Hope you feel as good as new soon.

Happy New Year, Tracey.
Ah, this is beautiful. The gold foiling, on pink is really lovely. Argh! I wish I could extend the budget to a foiling machine.
