Color Hues Challenge #49

It's time for a new color duo at the Color Hues Color Challenge #49! Thank you for those you who participated in our 2nd birthday challenge, your cards were fantastic!

This challenge we are using colours that I picked, yellow and brown. We are at the tail of sunflower season here and that is what I was thinking about when I chose these colours!

I used the Crafter's Companion Sunkissed Wishes stamp set to create a simple sympathy card. The card that is always hard to make when you are in need. It i always nice to have a few on hand.

I stamped and black heat embossed the sunflower on a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock and then I coloured it with my ZIG Real Brush markers. I haven't had them out in so long it was nice to see that they haven't dried out and how fun and easy they are to blend with!

The background was embossed with the Lawn Fawn Just Stitching Scallop Circle and then I blended Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink around the outside of my panel. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and I popped the panel up with foam tape on to a top folding kraft card base.

Please head over to the Colour Hues blog to see what the rest of my teammates have made with this colour duo!

Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!

A sunflower was the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the latest challenge! Yours is just so pretty planted inside this scalloped circle, Tracey!

Inking around the edges really makes your beautiful sunflower stand out, Tracey. I really love my Zigs and just saw someone say there are more colors to be had. I have to check that out.

This is such a lovely way to send your sympathies. I love that sweet stitched die you used! I need to look into that one!

The sunflower would have been great by itself but the idea to frame it in with the stitched circle was so smart. Very pretty card and I know the gallery will be too. Hugs!
