Happy Monday!
Hope your week is off to a good start! It's time for a new color duo at the Colour Hues Challenge #41!
I stamped and clear embossed the Studio Katia Japanese Peony, It was watercoloured using Distress Oxide inks in Candy Apple and Peacock Feather. My background was stenciled with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink using A Colourful Life Designs Dot Circle stencil cut down to 5 1/4" x 4" and popped up with foam tape. The flower and white embossed sentiment were also popped up with foam tape! Lighter shades of these colours gives the card a more warmer weather feel!
We can't wait to see what you make this challenge. Be sure to stop by the Colour Hues to see what the other designers have made with red and aqua!
Awesome use of the colors Tracey. That bloom is gorgeous atop the radiating dots.
ReplyDeleteYour peony image has the look of a poppy so works really well with the red and the aqua Tracy. Love the hot red of poppies, mine are just starting to grow in the garden so I have a bit to wait 'til they flower.:)
ReplyDeleteThis is just as lovely as can be, Tracey. I think the dotted background draws the eyes right back to the flower center. Awesome design!!
ReplyDeleteLove that big beautiful bloom and how it fills your card front! Fabulous card, Tracey!

ReplyDeleteWhat a stunner this card is! That big floral is wonderful, and I love that circular dotted stencil!
