Color Hues #35

It's time for two new colors for Challenge #35 and the Color Hues Color Challenge!

I used The Greetery Pinwheel Party Stencils and co-ordinating dies to make a festive birthday card.  The sentiment is from Birthday Blooms which is also from The Greetery.

I am looking forward to seeing how you interpret navy and pink. See you at the Color Hues!

Vibrant Valentines' Cards

 Hi there and Happy Thursday!

I have been playing with Catheine Pooler`s Two Part Hearts stamps and dies along with my favourite inks by Catherine Pooler!

I started off by stamping and die cutting a bunch of hearts in coordinating colours. I used the CP colour wheel to help me choose. I covered all my card fronts with aqua cardstock, the inside white panel is 5 1/8" x 3 7/8". I stamped an old sentiment from Papertrey Ink and all my cards using Catherine Pooler Mardi Gras ink. Next I attached the white panels to the card front using strips of foam tape. Then I arranged my stamped hearts on the the tops of the white panel using foam tape. The dimension adds so much to the cards.

I ended up making 2 of each card.

Scrap 'N Stamp Tracey Hey Inspiration Hop

Welcome to the next stop on the hop for the Scrap N Stamp Tracey Hey Inspiration Hop! We are featuring the cutest stamps by Tracey Hey.

Make sure that you comment here for your chance to win, there is a Tracey Hey stamp set at each stop along the hop!

No matter how you arrived here see the bottom of my post for where to go to the start the blog hop on the Scrap N Stamp website.

For my first card I used the adorable Hot Dog Stamp Set. This sweet little pup laying in a bun was my first choice to ink up. I stamped him in black ink and clear embossed the lines before I coloured him with Copic Markers. I cut my panel with the second largest Lawn Fawn Large Stitched rectangle, I added the sentiment also from the set and popped it up with foam tape before adding it to a red panel.

I couldn't let the fun end there, so I made a second card using just the pile of rocks and sentiments from the You Rock stamp set. When I have a small focal point making a 4 1/4" square card base works perfectly. The inner white panel is 3 1/4" square. Once again I stamped and clear embossed the images before colouring with Copic markers. I gave the rocks a bit of shine with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

I added a second sentiment on the inside of the card!

Make sure you follow along in the blog hop, there is so much inspiration and you your chance to win!

Color Hues #34

Happy February!

It's time for a new color another challenge at the Color Hues! We hope you'll join us for Color Hues #34. This challenge our colours are red & black!

I used an old favourite, wood block stamp made by Hero Arts called Dots & Flowers to make my patterned piece. Really simple, I opened my mini MISTI and lay the stamp on its back on the mat. Then I inked my stamps up well with VersaFine Onyx black ink. To make my impression I lay my cardstock on to the inked stamp and rubbed all over the stamp to get a good impression and Peeled in off--Voila!

I have kept all of my favourite woodblock stamps. I don't use them very often, but when I do I am amazed by the quality of the impression. Did you keep yours???

I added a sentiment from Love Struck by A Jillian Vance Design and a few die cut hearts and some sparkling gem stones!

We can't wait to see what you do!
